Received an email response from Audible about 4hrs ago telling me I didn't know how the promo worked and that it would show during checkout when I tried to buy something sold and shipped by Amazon. Responded as well as I was able to muster. Received a $10 "Goodwill Refund" credit to my gift card balance about an hour ago.
So I guess it worked out, but damn. Can't deal w/ the stupid today.
