I have passed the torch to my son. I rarely ever play games, due to other interest, age, lousy marriage and time. I only have a 360 and have been debating on a Xbox One. I still get on this site for the Xbox Marketplace sale list on Monday nights (habit?).
GLITTER BOMB and kicking the magazine rack over at GS. Anyone remember that?

Got everything running. Will probably pick up some of those spade connectors next time I'm at the store, as my connections look a little janky. Everything looks and sounds great though! I tested it out with some Johnny Cash @ Folsom Prison, and some Radiohead the Bends! Now once my ps4 comes next month, I'll be all set
Awesome. Those Nova 10's are nice for a starter setup!!

I'm looking to get away from my cheap crosley, and build a decent set up. I Don't know too much other Than I have a lot of records, and I utilize them a lot. A guy on Craigslist is selling a bunch of vintage equipment that is all in good shape. Let me know if anyone knows much about these The two I'm eyeing up he's selling for $150 each:
Phillips af-677 turntable
Sansui 441 receiver
Some other stuff that are mostly cheaper:
Optimus 27 speakers
Nova 6 speakers
Acoustic 616 speakers
Sansui r-5 receiver
Technics sl-q200 turntable
Sansui fr-1080 turntable
What is your budget? I can vouch for the Sansui **1 series. I have a 221 and 551, outstanding receivers. How much for the 441? Also, the Nova 6 speakers are very impressive for what they are. I have a pair of Nova 10's and Optimus 25's. How much are they? I would do the 441, Nova 6's and the Technics TT for $125.

I've seen old klipsch (the wood ones) for $50 at garage sales. I use vintage Sansui SP-X6 speakers, but they don't get loud enough (I wonder if there is something wrong with them? They appear fine from the outside, but there isn't much bass for a 4 way speaker.)
I just bought these SONY MM-MF315 150w 3 way speakers for $10 total. I haven't hooked them up yet though.
I'm using a Kenwood VR-505 Receiver in case anyone cares.
Try and see if the speakers and cabinet is sealed. And kind of leaks would ruin the bass. My KG4's had leaks and I used a glue gun to seal them.

Well I was tempted at a yard sale this weekend! Guy had all this junk do-dads all around then in one room - some nice old Klipsch cornwalls! they looked great. I asked if he was selling the speakers and he said maybe and then said he knew what they were and how much they were worth quoting ebay prices at 700-1000 and so I just started talking to him about Klipsch. He said he thought he was going to keep them. I think they were his dads. He said if I made a good offer he might sell. I kinda wonder if he'd have taken 400. But then again, while that's a real decent price, I'll just keep going and hope I find them for 40 one day instead!
$40? Good luck!!
