Yeah. Family Dollar has actually had cheap game cardboard displays for years now. Some people have occasionally found decent stuff, but usually priced $5-13.

A long time ago, they had PC games sometimes, and they had original Xbox games. I even got the Burger King games from a local Dollar Tree for Xbox/Xbox 360. But, it has been many years since this has actually happened.
After the whole UMD thing kind of failed, they got in tons of UMD movies, too. I bought like a dozen movies for my PSP. And yeah, they had some PC games, especially a lot of PopCap stuff at one point. But as has been said, it tends to probably be mostly overstock and obsolete stuff publishers are trying to dump, etc.

I stopped at one today, but all I really saw was a mostly empty bin of movies in the front with everything well-picked-over. So I'm guessing they either haven't put them out yet or they were in the movie bin and are gone already. Might check back on the 12th just to see.

What's the in-game difference with this Minecraft and the newer/other coverart that's out of stock and $20?
I think the difference between the two is that the newer Starter Collection version includes a few DLC packs (LittleBigPlanet Mash-Up, Greek Mythology Mash-Up, Skin Pack 1, City Texture Pack) and 700 tokens to use in the in-game store.
Descriptions of the two at the bottom here: https://www.playstat.../minecraft-ps4/

If Konami wanted to earn back some goodwill they could release a trilogy pack of the DS Castlevania games, those were some of the best.
Different topic, how is Gamefly these days? They sent me another offer to restart my subscription for $1 which would be a good way to play a couple things from my wishlist on the cheap.
I'm probably in the vast minority, but I want a remaster of the N64 Castlevania games. I actually loved Legacy of Darkness.

For a limited time (i.e. while we're all stuck at home), Square Enix is giving away Tomb Raider and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris free on Steam through the Square Enix store.
Edit: Also free directly on Steam without having to go through the Square Enix store (Thanks, whitereflection).

I actually held off for a long time because I didn't think I'd dig the caveman theme, and I maybe didn't, at least not as well as the main entries in the series and other spinoff entries, but when I finally broke down and played it, it kind of had the same addictive quest-based gameplay as other recent entries (including things like outposts, which are actually fun going stealth with a bow and arrow), and I got hooked and sank a lot of time into doing every sidequest. I'd totally recommend it at this price (although I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time it's been this low and probably won't be the last).

Is this better than Sims 2?
Yeah. It's pretty solid. More customization, a bit more open. It's a bit more polished, but still quirky/unpolished enough that you can get a laugh out of the quirkiness. One of my characters kept changing out of her clothes and into lingerie to go to work (as a writer). Lol. It's fun.
It should be noted that this isn't really a good price, though. EA has had the Origin version on sale directly through them for $5 multiple times in the last half year, and all platform versions have been on sale for $5-10 multiple times in addition to that. I think I got the PS4 deluxe version for cheaper than this price.

what do you think this is reddit/r/Games? We're all shallow cheapasses here, got it? No room for civility nor reason. Only knee jerk reactions, such as those that lead me to buying $15 games I will probably never end up opening.
Those of us who aren't relative newbies remember a kinder, gentler time where we worked together to find good deals and foster a sense of community. But, sure, tell us what it means to be members of CAG, member who joined last year.

That's probably the best advice. I've been forcing it to get through the end of Disc 1. It's just not fun for me.
To be honest, it was kind of a groundbreaking game at the time, but maybe for that reason, it hasn't aged entirely well. A lot of modern games were kind of built on elements of its formula but with more fluid gameplay, more fleshed-out worlds with more to do while waiting for time to pass, and conveniences like better mapping features. It's still a solid game and also a fun nostalgia trip, but I can totally see how modern gamers that didn't play it back in the Dreamcast days might find it a bit tedious.
