And is that why they no longer sell the original game on Steam, then? The only places that have the game are third party resellers like GreenManGaming. How convenient that this version of the game also doesn't include the DLC stuff that's already bundled with the DC.

They should have plainly said "later releases of the original game via bundles will not include the DC" but since they pulled it from sale on Steam, well.

They seriously cannot win. But lets look at the history, shall we?

Developer releases QUBE DLC for $$$ that is received very poorly and as a cash grab. Due to negative pressure, developer decides that all existing users would receive the DLC for free. It is important to note here that the ONLY people that felt slighted were those that had already purchased the game.

Now the developer has a choice to make:

Scenario 1: Release DLC free for all existing users.

Existing users: Happy. "We supported the game from the beginning and the developer is showing us love"

New users: Content. "I know they released a directors cut but instead of buying that, let me try out the base version first."

Developer: Content. "We lose any potential revenue from our most loyal fans but any new buyers will already know that the DLC exists and won't feel slighted."

Scenario 2: Release DLC free for everyone forever

Existing users: Content. "I didn't get treated special for supporting them from the beginning but free content is free content"

New users: Happy. "The game comes with a free upgrade to the director's cut edition. Score!"

Developer: Unhappy. "We don't get any additional revenue from anyone even though the new users were never slighted to begin with."

The point here is that the reason they released it for free at all is because a certain population of users felt slighted. THOSE were the people that were given free upgrades so that they would not be so negative and ruin the marketing. Any new users should not feel slighted since they already know the DLC exists before buying the base version, although clearly people on this forum still do.

I seriously doubt it. It's just mapping one key to another...

AHK allows for in depth scripting that goes far beyond mapping keys.

Dang, a day late it appears.

Just FYI, it was showing up as full price on my tablet but I had no problems on my desktop. I'm assuming their mobile optimized site isn't reflecting the price appropriately so you may have issues from phone/tablet.
