you can away just replace the laser or use a multimeter to adjust the laser http://dwl.xbox-scen...1.0_by_Moda.pdf
but like he said you need to dvd key to use another drive, but the easiest way would be to buy the same drive and swap the PCB so the key stays but the laser is new.

I think everyone is poor under the greed and oppression of the monetary system, and we as a species will only live rich and fulfilling lives once we can focus on fixing problems and proving education instead of profiting on them.

unfortunately, the Mad Catz Xbox 360 Arcade GameStick seem to fit my needs better then the fighting sticks, but I also and heard nothing but bad things about it.
