I was thinking about trading in my PS3, but after reading these threads I am not sure that I want to do a gift receipt or cancel a pre-order. Is this a YMMV, or did Gamestop change their return policies?
Why would you need a gift receipt? Just use your original receipt. The back of the receipt should state the return policy of the product that you are buying. Unopened new merchandise = full refund within 30 days of purchase.
The trade is final the moment you sign your stuff away. So what are they going to do? Give you less than what was agreed? Return your item to you? Nope.
The most memorable aspect of my Target trade-ins this time was undoubtedly the driving-me-crazy looping advertisements playing on the TVs in the Electronics department. There's only so many times I can take a snippet of some Spanish pop song and Chris Martin of Coldplay singing "Then I saw youuuuuu-oohooooohoohoooh".
