Not to be that guy but doesn't it up-res?

The TV does.  Upscaling isn't quite the same as native res though.  Earl

They will both have upgraded models within a year - unless they are able to begin outputting 4K Ultra HD without it.  I've got this big, beautiful 4K Ultra TV..when I watch Verizon Fios or Stream Amazon or Netflix 4K (from the TV) I get 4K 2160P resolution.  When I watch/stream/play on the XB1 or PS4 only 1080p...they are behind the times.  There was a time when both companies were cutting edge with 1080p when most people didn't even have 1080p TV's yet..not anymore.  4K Ultra was out before both consoles ever hit the market and they still cannot even stream it much less play movies or games in the higher res.  I want that and I want it yesterday.

I ignored 3D for years as I knew if I paid attention to it I would by another TV.  When the lamp blew in my Sony KDS60A2000 for the 3rd or 4th time I looked at the TV's when I went to Fry's to get another lamp.  RuhRoh as Scooby would say.  I did get another lamp for the damn thing but it's in another room now.  The new "family" tv is a LG 65" 4K Ultra 3D set and God I love it....like with anything the 3D effects vary by movie but they can be extremely impressive at least to my eyes.  I just wish I could have found more of the 3D movies on sale at Walmart over BF weekend.  I found a few, but I'd have bought a lot more if I had the chance.
