Played CD3 for a couple of hours this morning, for better or worse it felt like slipping back into a pair of comfortable slippers I hadn't worn for ten years... I'm enjoying the orb hunt, the lock-on combat is simple but fun, the game's doing a good job of slowly introducing new types of areas to clear out... I'm playing AC Odyssey right now and typically wouldn't want to tackle two open-world games at once, but Crackdown feels simple enough to finish quickly without confusing my time in Odyssey. Yeah, it's not as revolutionary as it could be (or should be after five years), but you know what? It's not a bad game by any means.
It's not a $60 title but it's a great addition to Game Pass and really helps sell that service. If Microsoft keeps dropping these games (Forza 4, CD3, Sea Of Thieves) every few months, I'm happy to call Game Pass an essential part of the Xbox experience.
