#12338277 Steam/Origin etc Buy/Sell/Trade Thread! - READ THE OP! ONE POST EVERY...

My understanding is that all that has changed has been the "Allow Cross Region Trading And Gifting" flag being set to "No" for all games on Steam. As such, it should only affect gifting, and not key redemption (one of our Russian friends can probably clarify this). That said, individual keys CAN be region-locked, and have been locked before, even if the game was not locked on Steam. That was under the old model, though. While I haven't heard of any changes to keys yet, it could be implemented later. Sorry I don't know more, but hopefully this helps. :)

Given the slow, deliberate way Valve's basically set out to destroy cross realm trading recently, I'd be very, very wary right now.

I think what cheapsteam was trying to say was, the seller should be responsible if they sell one of the stolen keys that gets revoked.

I believe If a game gets region locked before the buyer has time to activate it, sell it, and trade it, that is on the buyer.

No, it had nothing to do with stolen keys. It was about The Witcher 3.

Why would it make you sick? it's a pretty good game. Anyway, all gifts gain value with time, if you try to sell it now you'll probably gonna have a bad time try to get your money back, mostly because we're in the middle of a major sale and the market is flooded with sellers. Hold to it for a while, who knows maybe you'll change your mind and you'll end up playing it. Worst case scenario you'll get your money back or maybe a couple of bucks more for it if you sell it later.

Yeah. Motion sickness.
