Well, it's actually now "Steam+", meaning "Steam-Plus" other stores.

Explanation incoming.

We (the CAG Posters that post a lot of PC deals & regulars posting in the Steam Deals thread) did also have threads for IndieGala, Gamersgate, Groupees, Amazon PC DVG (Amazon PC Digital Video Games) and other digital PC stores back in the day - but none of those really got the traction the Steam deals thread did. And it was mostly, the same crew posting in all of these threads; yeah, across numerous threads.

So, the idea was to combine them all into one big thread. Steam Deals by far got the most buzz and traction...so hence, the evolution of the thread, becoming "Steam+" (Steam-Plus); meaning Steam plus any other digital stores.

I forgot who it was that came up w/ the idea or of it was a community-decided thing? Anyone remember and/or want to clarify?

Anyways...Our Humble, Fanatical, GOG Threads still gets decent amounts of traction, so those still have their own threads. Humble gets the most probably, other than the Steam+ deals thread.

Though, I do like Fanatical and GOG myself...so, I tend to make a fair amount of posts in those threads still and keep them alive. Others do post here & there and post deals there too, as those places still have solid deals.

I understand everything you're touching on here and it seems logical, but it does make the site look dead to the casual visitor which may not be a good thing in the long run.

#14111020 Playstation Classic $35.99 Target Cartwheel YMMV

Posted by blk00civicsi on 27 December 2018 - 10:56 PM

I get what you're saying, I do. I just do not agree a store can charge a different price from their very own site. Normally if an item is on sale online, it's the same price in store. This time around something shady is at play.

Do you shop at Walmart at all??? They were notorious for not matching their own website. They may still be. At one point their price match policy EXCLUDED Walmart.com.

Regardless of how it shakes out in the end, any business can operate how they see fit provided it doesn’t break any laws. These retailers choose to cater to the entitled as a means to make any kind profit for their shareholders.

Were you around to take advantage of that ridiculous coupon stacking glitch at Target? I wasn’t witness to how the thread here went down but the one on SD was FULL of people who were astonished that the retailer wouldn’t let them walk out of the building with a $2,000 TV they cheated down to $200.

I took part in this deal solely to get a system that can waste away in the box in my attic for 30 years (it’s resting comfortably with the other 15 NES/SNES I got for no reason other than to collect dust) The system I spent $100 on (yes I kept an original preorder too) was played with to see how horribly borked the system was and is now back in its box until the hacking becomes more stable.

TLDR - Get over it and go find the next problem with society.

#14101851 $15 off $15+ coupon on Ebay

Posted by GaveUpTomorrow on 11 December 2018 - 04:26 PM

9 times out of 10, I find the same item I want for cheaper on eBay. No reason to hope for the competition to be knocked out. Next thing you know Amazon will be charging $500 a year for prime because hey, they are the only place you can buy things from anymore once everyone else is gone.

#14101240 Belk.com - Nintendo Switch shipped for $224.99 + tax, 8% back thru eBates

Posted by eugaet on 10 December 2018 - 05:20 PM

EDIT: Forgot to mention you can get 8% back through eBates!

EDIT EDIT: Better code. Said code was invalid when used w/ the Switch last night, works today. Go figure. Thanks, sharpeone!

You can get a Nintendo Switch (red/blue) shipped from Belk.com for $224.99 $254.99 + tax using code 34671199 BELKBUCKS. The code takes $15 off for every $75 worth in your cart, so that's $45 off a Switch.

If you can find something to kick another $0.01 into your cart, you can bump the $45 off up to $60. There's a few items of clothing for toddlers and women from $0.99-1.99. That'll lower it to a potential $240.98 + tax, shipped.

Merry Christmas!

Bought 2, how do you do the "Where is my cash?" on eBates?

eBates 'Missing Cash Back' link: https://www.ebates.c...track-cash-back

You may have to wait a day or more before you try to claim. eBates says Belk's processing time for cash back is 14 days. I'll post back when I get a cash back notification on either of my orders to let everyone know how long it took.

#14097375 *DEAD* Google Home Mini for $1 (Spotify Trial wokraround)

Posted by BrolyB593 on 04 December 2018 - 07:58 AM

All credit goes to the individual who created THIS article.

I am putting it more succinctly here for everyone since the original article is pretty word and full of ads.

That being said I just tried this along with a few buddies of mine and it worked flawlessly.

*I understand this isn't directly a VIDEOGAME deal but technically they can now be used with commanding the Xbox One and such so I figured it deserved a thread here where it can be seen by more!*

Before we begin, there is one major limitation to this deal: you must be a new Spotify Premium subscriber. If you currently pay for any variation of Spotify Premium, you will not be eligible for this deal... Which means just make a new dummy account! : P

Step 1: Create a new Spotify account (or use your old one if you've only ever had a free account)

Step 2: Sign up for the 3 month Premium trial for $1 HERE.

Step 3: Upgrade to a family plan HERE. It says it will charge you $14.99 but what happens is instead it just knocks a single month off of your Premium trial from Step 2.

Step 4: Check your email, there should be a new one with the subject "Your Google Home Mini is now available." from Spotify. Follow the link and it is pretty self explanatory from there. You should not be charged a dime for the Google Home Mini with the promo that auto applies through the link and then the fact that there is free shipping on orders over $35.

Step 5: Cancel your Spotify Family and Spotify Premium memberships HERE (or in your Membership tab on your account) so as to not be charged later. You will retain the membership for the upcoming 2 months (duration of the trial) but will not auto renew so long as you cancel.

**NOTE** It seems that some people are experiencing extremely long processing times for their orders and it may be linked to cancelling immediately. It very well could just be an excess of people scamming this promo and just the holiday season in general but if you can wait a bit to cancel, maybe set up a calendar event and just cancel at the new year or something. **

Step 6: Enjoy your $1 Google Home Mini and maybe even buy this adorable Mickey Mouse accessory like I did since you can now justify it since the Mini was so cheap! ; p

#14096570 Target Gift Cards 10% Off - Sunday, December 2nd Only

Posted by jenetic on 03 December 2018 - 01:38 AM

You guy instantly are looking for ways to exploit this and wonder why stores are doing less and less promotions.....  smh

Just a reminder that major corporations (Walmart, Amazon, Target, etc.) scam us everyday all day long for billions. Legally taking advantage of promotions they're running isn't a scam. They are free to decide not to accept gift cards as payment for other gift cards, but at the end of the day, it's our money and we should be free to spend it on anything they sell.

#13586209 Gamestop 4 for $40 Sale 1/2-1/22

Posted by Chuck Stank on 03 January 2017 - 11:06 AM

Friends, welcome to "Trump"-ed up inflation world.  Everything is going to start costing more.  Get used to it (sad face).
Main reason why I plan to tighten the wallet this year on anything but what I *really* need.  Spent plenty this past year so have a huge backlog to get through (movies/anime/games) - all set for what will be a horrible four years (well, may be just two depending on how the mid-term elections go).

What in the hell does any of this have to do with Trump? Jesus, liberals are losing their minds.
