You know, I legit can't tell if Microsoft just surprise dropping Hi-Fi Rush onto Game Pass with no build up is a legit genius move or what. Like if it had previews I think the distinct look and style would lose it's luster with each preview, but because the game surprise dropped everyone can't stop talking about the style and seamless transitions from gameplay to cut scene to gameplay.

Just one more way they are implementing the Netflix model, even that Netflix will just drop a movie with well known actors and zero promotion, it just appears on a Friday night and goes viral. When it works, it works very well.

Yep. None of it is incredibly straightforward so the average consumer won't bother but it really does give Xbox an edge with digital.

Speaking of Dead Space, Digital Foundry confirmed it's only 30fps on Series S. I was hoping that skipping last gen meant more optimization but sadly, it didn't.

It's been unreliable for me in the past, but ever since I got my new laptop, it's been consistently reliable.

To that end, I'd recommend wiping Edge, reinstalling it and making sure everything is up to date. And always enable Cashback through the Rewards page, not the plugin.

For Xbox games, you have to add to the cart from xbox.com and then navigate back to microsoft.com for it to register.

The best part is it works when using an account balance, which is usually a disqualifier for a lot of websites. Get discounted Xbox funds, more via rewards points, and cashback really makes digital way more appealing. End of the day I probably paid $40 out of pocket for Dead Space day-of.

Dead Space reviews are in and they're great. Between the 10% off discount to $63, 7% back through Microsoft's website (about $4.50), and cashing in a $50 reward from Bing, I'm in.

Dead Space 1 might be a top 3 Xbox 360 era game for me, easy top 5, but man these $70 games are tough when I have so many things I haven't even touched yet. Like why the hell did I buy Judgement in the sale last week? The achievements "leaked" for Dead Space on TrueAchievements and one in particular has me very interested in how much they might have changed up. I got enough points to cash in and it's looking more and more like MS Store is never going to restock the stupid ass Seagate Storage Expansion Card.
