Don’t feel bad; this also took me a surprising amount of mental calculus This configuration also works perfectly for the Genesis games included in Konami’s recent Contra and Castlevania compilations. Those already allowed for button configuration in-game, but it’s nice to just have a system-level custom controller profile that’s easy to enable/disable.
EDIT: these settings assume that the firmware-level button config on the M30 is set to default. I.e. I haven’t swapped the A/B or X/Y buttons with the controller’s built-in options.
