Imagine if they'd pushed up Gears 5 a week earlier. Bunch of people sitting around on Labor Day weekend playing their new game.

If you're still doing the TrueAchievements GTASC thing, I would recommend both Abzu and Tacoma to get your 2k Gamer Score. Both can be done in under 2 hours each following the walkthough on TA's website. Both are on Game Pass.
Although the X1 version of Abzu is worth about 200 more TA score than the Win10 version. So if you still need more points, the X1 version is the way to go. Edit: Actually, if your choice is Tacoma and both versions of Abzu, Abzu x2 gives you more TA score.

I wish more digital marketplaces would put stuff on a deep discount like those seasons of Preacher. I remember Amazon used to sell albums for a buck or two around the early 2010's. I have zero interest in buying a Katy Perry record. But if it's for sale for $1.99 I would totally buy it. (Or in my example, I literally did buy it)
TLDR: Make digital stuff stupid cheap and I will buy it.

Mostly I was going to get it play some old school games with the kids.
I was mostly looking for something quick and easy but seams like it takes some work. I tried to get an snes classic but they have been discontinued and pulled from shelves.i was thinking the raspberry pi would be a cheaper solution instead of trying to pay over 100 for an snes classic.
I was eyeing the ps classic but heard it's pretty horrible.

Game Pass continues to impress
I do not understand the haters
Can a Game Pass hater explain why?
Not trying to be a dick, I just don't get it
You feel the compulsion to have all 200 titles downloaded at once? Causing you to break your monthly bandwidth caps and you've purchased many extra terabytes of additional storage.
