Now im really wondering if I want that re4 ce. I already have it preordered it on Amazon Spain for the steelbook and the re4 ce for 249.99 is alot of money.

I also noticed that the Stalker 2 CE on amazon is still up for $180.  There is an ultimate edition on amazon UK for $300 USD that adds a map, backpack, and lamp.  Every edition has a different steelbook.

I feel most PS exclusives have average gameplay.  It took Uncharted 4 games before I really had fun playing it. (I played all 4 for the first time back to back).  I keep thinking the PS controllers are just weird for me to use and it not being an issue with the games despite all of them being third person action games.  They all do great with the stories even if the story isn't something I like. 

LoU2 was not a story I liked.  It was well told, but didn't like spending 25 hours in a bummer fest.  Nothing happy happened in that game. 

God of War Ragnarök had some pacing issues.  Like previously mentioned, it stopped you for silly puzzles way too often so you would have time to listen to more talking.  It was all interesting talking, but there was a lot of it.

In Xbox news:  Just a few missions left in Witcher 3 and I'm done.  It's been great to go back, but ready for another game.  Time to find a couple of good 10 hour games on gamepass.

I've gotten back into it too since the update. Had finished the main game but not the DLC a few years ago. I took me a few hours to get back into the systems of the game, but it's a lot of fun. I tried ray tracing but it was too smeary-looking while playing, performance is better. I did switch on ray tracing during some cut-scenes and it looked great there. Not worth the hassle of switching it on and off though.

 

Finished the Heart of Stone DLC, that was really good... now playing Blood and Wine. Holy crap, howlongtobeat says this is 25-40 more hours? That's a whole other game... 

 

The quests and characters in the Witcher are still far more interesting that most RPGs I've played. No offense, Skyrim

While I enjoy playing Elder Scrolls games, it's story is really only better than the story in Fallout (except for New Vegas).  The plots in those games feel more like ways to guide you through exploring the world and Witcher 3 does that better too. :p

Witcher 3 is one of the best RPG stories in recent years for sure followed by Lost Odyssey and Yakuza Like a Dragon!  Tales of Arise is a recent honorable mention.  I don't watch One Piece, but that new game looks like a fun RPG.

Fuzzmeister - how has your Witcher 3 experience been going with the new update?  

Mostly great.  A couple of game crashes to dashboard, but there are enough autosaves that it isn't an issue.  It's crashed maybe 5 times so far.  Just the Blood and Wine DLC to finish.  I didn't notice ray tracing enough to deal with the sub 4k 60 fps, so played performance mode for most of it.  I've enjoyed it as much as my first completion back when it launched.

What do you mean? When I start auto redeem, it doesn’t just add a month to my account? It sends me a code every month?

I'm pretty sure all rewards balances are straight to account (like $5/10/20) and gold/gp/gpu are all codes.  Auto redeem works the same way.

Thanks for the responses. What the difference between core and regular? Does core come with paddles too?

I can either buy the core and the expansion kit later or just get the whole thing.

Core has no paddles, case, + dpad, or other analog sticks.  It comes with the round d-pad and normal sized analog sticks only.

Random question: do I need an elite series controller? I don’t play FPS and the next game I’m gonna play is Dead Space. What’s the benefit of the elite series 2? Either core or regular.

I’m asking because I can get it cheap.

It gets you used to the weight of it.  I don't use the paddles.  If I use a normal controller, it feels light and cheap.  You will very likely have buttons that do not register all the time until they break in.  Then, a bumped button will give out on you.  I still use mine every day. 

Edit: The battery is awesome.  I go several days without charging.  It's just as easy to plop it in the case to start charging.

I only have the original Switch docked. This would be my first repurchase of a Switch when this Zelda one comes out. Now if you want to talk about Zelda 3DSes, then I am guilty as hell. lol

If you’re going to attempt any JRPG on GamePass in the new year, make it Chained Echoes. Might be the best JRPG available on Xbox outside the Final Fantasy series (but is up there even with those considered).

Edit: Alright, forgot about Persona 5 too. But dammit, Chained Echoes is a damn good game and I’ll use any hyperbole I want to!

Lost Odyssey and Yakuza Like a Dragon are my 2 favorites.  Persona is on the backlog.

Local shop had a brand-new Series S in stock for $230. I had more than that in store credit after trading in some old stuff and couldn't say no.

 

Set it up last night and I like it a lot, especially for backwards compatibility and Game Pass. The xscreen is on sale right now for $200, it's still a lot of money but getting the Series S for zero out-of-pocket makes it kind of tempting. Anyone have one, would recommend?

xScreen is great.  I've not had a chance to take it on any trips, but it has served well for co-op achievements that I can't find people for like dragging another profile around for the Halo Infinite co-op stuff or Deathlooop online.  Also, for trying out games with the xcloud works well for it.  I share my GPU with it and everything works.

I'm still enjoying Witcher 3 on the newest update.

I did get a Haworth Fern chair with headrest.  The headrest won't got up high enough for me, so it digs into my back right under my neck at the highest setting.  The mesh back also scrunches when I lean forward at all and that's annoying.  I'm putting in to return it.

I've had a gift card with nothing to spend it on for over a month now.  This is perfect!

Elden Ring for my "top" game, 123 hours. I'm not sure if that means most hours or highest TA ratio. Maybe TA Ratio is correct but probably not hours or total Gamerscore.

Other than that it says I only have 332 total hours played, there is no way this is anywhere close to correct.

The top game is one you started this year.  Mine is Disney Dreamlight Valley.  I know it's far from my most played.
