One new thing about next gen I didn't realize is that quick resume works even if you fully shut down your xbox. You could power down, even unplug it, and it would save your quick resume states.

That is absolutely fucking nutty. When I played Division 2 before I completed all the achievements, I could go downstairs, make love to my wife, fix a sandwich, make a protein shake, do 50 pushups, and the damn game STILL wouldn't be loaded up.

how long did it take u to beat it on legendary? im trying to work through some of my backlog and that game is like 97gb......anyone else have so many games where u cant decide what game to play and then when u finally decide to play a game u only play it for a short amount of time and then the next day u finally decide to play another game..? i need to just stick with one game and play it to completion then delete it and move on but its hard

 

If I had to guess, I'd say around 12-14 hours. Probably can be done quicker than that but I'm a noob at Halo. I did use some speedrun tricks that helped out, too. 

has anyone here completed Halo 5 on legendary??

Ha, just completed it solo Legendary less than a month ago. My first Halo completion. It was pretty brutal, but then again, I'm not very good at Halo to begin with. I can help answer any questions. 

Day shift rocks. I work 10 hour days, 4 days a week. I have a 3 day weekend every week. I get all the game time in that I need now.

Crazy how the only things I'm gonna be playing from now until Cyberpunk 2020 are Halo Reach, Gears 5, and a couple of things from my backlog. Nothing else really interests me for the next 4 months or so. Really hope that new Batman Arkham game gets a release date early next year. I miss flying around Gotham beating the shit out of  criminals.

It still grinds my gears when people say a big reason they won't upgrade to an X is because they don't have a 4KTV. The TV is just the cherry on top, people. You'll see the difference in your games just from the hardware itself, even if you have a normal LED set. It's NICE to have 4K and HDR, but it's not what defines the X.

Decided to play through New Vegas for the first time after loving Outer Worlds. Other than the combat, I'm really enjoying it. Is obsidian the most underappreciated game developer in history?

Knights Of The Old Republic 2 was one of the best things to ever come from Star Wars. The story was excellent, and Kreia had the most incredible dialogue of any character in the franchise. The writing in general was so intimate and layered. It was a huge tragedy that the game shipped 75% completed. The original intended ending would have made the damn game even better than Empire Strikes Back.

Canceled my preorder after watching gameplay of the first few hours of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order it looks like it does absolutely nothing new and the dialogue and story is pretty shitty .

It's all been done to death already. I wish they would make a hardcore R rated Star Wars game with gratuitous violence and gore and cursing. Shake the franchise up. Do something unexpected. Leave the kiddos behind.

Or just give me a completely remade KOTOR 1 and 2 (Director's Cut with all the missing content) so I can relive the days when Star Wars games were engrossing experiences.

I haven't used them since 2012ish, around the time I kicked my Blu Ray collecting habit and picked up a gaming habit instead. But yeah, they were definitely reliable. 

So exactly how bad is the new Contra supposed to be?  I'm debating preordering it and getting the $10 egiftcard (comes out to $31.99 plus the additional gift card), but if it is terrible I will probably wait until it hits $10 or so.

You're the only person I've read that is enjoying the open world part of Gears 5. I no longer feel so alone. I loved that area.
Critics are killing the game over that open world part. Critics: games need to try new things. Same critics: your game sucks cause you tried a new thing.

They're stupid. Act 2 has the most beautiful music I've heard in a game in a long time. The scenery is incredible. And doing side missions makes the campaign action beats feel way less predictable. There's no going back after this. Every Gears game from now on must have an explorable world.

There is the base game. "Vanilla" Destiny 2. Does not include the Forsaken expansion or any of the additional Annual Pass content.

 

There is Destiny 2: Forsaken, which obv includes the base game and the Forsaken expansion. Annual Pass content not included.

 

You can purchase the Annual Pass to go with D2:Forsaken, which will grant you access to 3 "seasons" worth of content. Season Of The Drifter, Season Of Opulence, and the Black Armory. But now you shouldn't buy it, because it was just announced it'll be part of the F2P package on the 17th.

 

Finally, we have the Shadowkeep expansion. If you own everything above, you can just buy this separately. This won't be part of the F2P package.

I will, but with Gears coming soon, I can't even tell you when I'll actually get around to it. But for $20, I'll pick it up on day one and chip away at it after I've binged on Gears enough to make room for another game.

I'm looking for someone to lead me through Crown of Sorrows so I could do the whole raid. I've only done the final encounter and would like to do the whole thing. Would he be willing to help with that raid?
