Went to a local gamestop yesterday to pick up kirby. There was a mom and her 2 kids in there buying a ps5. The cashier was telling them "Its corporate policy to add insurance to all ps5s now" and he said they "have to sell pro memebership to get your details for the insurance" I literally stepped outside and called the store down the street to ask if something that stupid was true. She came to the phone after a min and said which store are you at? Oh, theyre notorious for trying to swing that stuff on customers. I told the lady as she came out that it was bs and where the district managers office was. I know everyone gripes about the opened new games....thats never really bothered me but this ....was crappy.

I went to get Octopath 2 yesterday and the cashier was like “you have your 5 dollar coupon so that gets you a free insurance on the game” and he proceeded to add the insurance to my Octopath 2 on the Switch. I literally couldn’t say “take that off” any faster. I hate crap like that.

Sorry for the question, but before I head to the store, does the 5 dollar monthly thing work on eshop credit in store?  I completely understand double dipping no longer works, but very confused if I can go in and buy eshop credit with it in store.

I want to buy a steamdeck and upgrade it to 1tb. Any recommendations for the storage upgrade?

I know this doesnt help your actual question, but I absolutely LOVE my steamdeck.  I got the 64gb version and threw in a 512gb SD card.  So far I have not had an issue.  I have Brotato, DMC 5, Fallout NV, Horizon Zero Dawn, Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes, Shadow of Mordor, No Man's Sky, Rimworld, Ryse Son of Rome, Snow Runner and Vampire Survivors installed and still have half of my 512 remaining.  The shader cache does seem to eat up the internal a bit.  Of the 46.5 available on the internal SSD, I have 11.2 gbs left, with no games installed on the internal SSD.  Anywho, like I said, I know it doesnt help, but.. Yay Steamdeck!

I decided to risk a $47 order of an "acceptable" quality from Amazon Warehouse. With the amount they have, I'm willing to see if they're just damaged box for that price.

I'd love to know if yours works well.  I have the 9x, and I get a few minutes of good sound, and then all hell goes loose and its static and cutting out.  My Xbox is in the same room as two routers (one for ATT and one for my mesh system) so the best I can figure, I am getting tons of interference.
