Dark Horse is releasing NieR:Automata World Guide Volume 2 in December. The Japanese edition of this book seems to be a strategy guide.

it's weird, it seems like Square Enix and Dark Horse are doing guides now. Noticed that for Octopath Traveler as well. Would be cool to pick up for the art, but i probably shouldn't be buying more of these books.

So how much can shipping cost these days? Well, I got lucky that back in December 2018, I pre-ordered Hobby Max 1/7 Chii from HLJ, because while they charged me 4720yen for DHL shipping, AmiAmi is 7.5k, BiJ 15.2k, and HS 16k! Be careful ordering large figures these days.

I contacted AmiAmi about a RSAL shipment that was returned back in April. They were able to refund and reship via DHL. There is still no sign of SAL/EMS coming back any time soon.

So like this Kaine figure:

Both look pretty legit to me but I honestly can't tell.

I think they look fine. Typically sellers in China will straight up say they're the Chinese version or something along those lines because they don't want to deal with charge backs, like how this one does for example https://www.ebay.com...RAAAOSwpBdd7wvw

Alternatively, there are a couple on Mandarake https://order.mandar...rd=nier&lang=en

GSC JP is offering 20% off all in-stock figures: https://goodsmilesho...ask-Bonus/c/516
Many older releases included, so you may find something you haven't seen in new condition in a while. Some amazing rare figures were included, but those sold out fast. I missed Nendo Hozuki ;_;

All include bonus Nendoroid Mask... whatever that is.

I just don't like how the rest of the site is so dead... used be to very active discussions in the GC/PS2 and XB days and early PS3/Wii/360 days. And then it seems like everything just went silent.

Where/how do you people talk video games these days? All I see are people watch streams, which I don't really get or find interesting.

If you were more active you would've noticed this years back.

It would be well worth $30 if I didn't have so much of it already.

#14274317 PSA: Spend your leftover Gamestop credit ASAP

The second they start going out of business, they aren't going to sell digital content anymore. It's just going to be old used hardware and games, most of which will vanish quickly. If you have a lot of money in GS credit, you're best off converting it to digital currency now while you still can.

I feel bad for the employees working there because its damned if they do or don't. Its like sure, its good idea to shut down the stores due to virus, but man they are going to be f***ED because you bet your ass the people working at Gamestop are living paycheck to paycheck and now gonna be missing money.
We're going to see a lot of unemployment and homelessness in the next following months...

They're telling their employees that they can't close because if they do, they might not re-open, and they're *going* to close temporarily. Their claiming to be essential is bullshit. It isn't going to last.

HS bargain bin starts tonight, 11pm EST.

Heads up to TOM shoppers:

1) Starting 2/6 JST, there will be a cap on the amount of TOM points you can use per order. There will be a 50% cap (20% non-premium) per order. So if you're buying a $100 figure, you can only use up to $50 ($20 non-premium) of points. Previously, there was no cap, and you could buy a figure using all TOM points and just pay the shipping out of pocket.

How does this affect you? I was going to talk math here, but there's already a good discussion going on at MFC: https://myfigurecoll....net/blog/44829 -edit- article removed from MFC, but there is less technical talk going on in the shop forum: https://myfigurecoll...w&threadId=7182

You have until 2/6 to spend your points like normal if you prefer. The new style of point usage is still viable, but to make it work well you will have to aim at making larger orders with equally larger oop expenses. Personally, I liked being able to occasionally get an expensive scale for little oop.

2) TOM plans on adding the ability to ship "eligible" figures with the same release month in a single shipment. This has been a much needed feature, especially for cheaper prizes where shipping individually was too expensive in comparison to the low cost of each figure.

#14251586 2020 Completed Games Tab

Posted by Bing147 on 01 January 2020 - 05:35 PM

Reserving my spot for 2020.

In 2019 I finished 50 games, a drop of 10 from the 60 I managed in 2018. I blame my months long addiction to Apex Legends which caused me to only beat 2 games between February 22nd and September 4th. Considering that this was half the year, the fact that I still hit 50 actually feels pretty impressive, thanks to a few strong months (and thanks to a little help from Apple Arcade).

This year may drop again as I've made my yearly goal what I'm calling 20 in 20, where I'm going to try to knock 20 RPGs out of my backlog this year. Considering only 5 of last year's games were RPGs, and only 4 of 2018's were, this will be a big increase and would do wonders to take at least a bite out of the massive stack of RPGs I want to get to. Considering the average length of most RPGs though, this will be a time sink

January: 4 Beaten

A Short Hike (PC) (Beat 1-7-20)
Super Mario RPG (SNES) (Beat 1-9-20) 20 in 20 #1
Super Crush KO (Switch) (Beat 1-9-20)
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore (Switch) 20 in 20 #2

February: 2 Beaten

Kentucky Route Zero (PC) (Beat 2-16-20)

Pandaball (PS4) (Beat 2-18-20)

March: 2 Beaten

HypnoSpace Outlaw (PC) (Beat 3-14-20)

To Be Revealed (PS4) (Beat 3=25=20)

My first order from GSC US Shop has shipped. Some useful info learned:

1) Payments to GSC US Shop do not count as foreign transactions like they do at GSC JP (even payments in USD to GSC JP count as foreign transactions). While I have a card with no foreign transaction fees, it's nice to be able to use other cards and not worry about a fee.

2) Order shipped from Japan via EMS. I thought GSC may have wanted to use cheaper domestic shipping when they opened the US shop, but since the release dates on the US shop are the same as Japan's, it makes sense that they wouldn't have time to ship to a US warehouse first. This is great for us since EMS is really fast and all pre-orders from GSC US have free shipping.

So good experience so far with GSC US ^^

Correction to point 2 above. GSC US will ship from Japan or US. I ordered two Nendos with the same release date of 12/19. One I got shipping notification for from Japan via EMS and should arrive tomorrow, while the other I did not receive shipping notification for and it arrived today shipped from California via USPS 2-day. Either way, the figures ship on their Japan release dates and arrive quickly.
