I previously went by "blueshinra", then "R. Kasahara". May add more later, but then again, maybe not. In the meantime, have some links:
Tradelist - a mix of games, anime DVDs, manga, figures, and one or two other things. Please take a look!
Brainscraps.net - my blog, mostly about games. It was dormant for awhile, but I've recently started updating it regularly again.
The Video Game Soundtrack Deals Thread - I've been compiling online game music deals all in this one thread since 2010, with some help from fellow CAGs. I invite all fellow VGM loving CAGs to check it out!

Because that's no fun and I like fun. Also, it makes me feel special
EDIT: Okay, I'll admit this color is bad on the back blackground....but I think the other red's are readable :(
Oh well, I guess I have to be a common white text guy instead :(
No, no, don't do that. What about the poor people who like using the light-colored theme? Just use normal text like everyone else. Fancy colors are for tradelists and whatnot.

No way. The powers ruin it.
Worst level in Generations too.
The powers make up for the lack of the better Sonic friends (well... mainly just Knuckles) not being playable. I rather liked them.
As for the level they chose for Generations, they just had to choose one of the lamer planets to represent the game. If they had gone with Starlight Carnival ( ) or Sweet Mountain instead of Planet Wisp, it would've been much better.

First off no GGT ever goes horrible and a new GGT is made after ever 500 posts sometimes longer because people in the GGT are lazy
We had to make new ones in the past because Cheapy's Pentium III servers couldn't handle a huge thread with massive amounts of activity, at least one that's largely a waste of space like this one.
We had the Infinite GGT for a while, got up to like 20,000 posts before he showed up and reinstated the New Thread Every 500 rule.
This was during the Dark Ages of Stinkin' Primo. Shit was a fucking trip.
Wait... that one did get to 500 posts then (and yeah, I remember that rule)?! Is this new board's messing with the default number of posts per page?
I gotta see if I can change that in my preferences. I'm so used to using the number of pages as a reference for that sort of thing.
ETA: Weird shit is happening to my quotes D:
ETA 2: Well then, that fixed itself pretty quickly...

No sonic game ever looks fun.
You've been playing the wrong ones.
Sonic is friendly and never changes.
Sonic got worse, except on handhelds, but then he got better.

Nosgoth, a multiplayer Legacy of Kain game from Square Enix. Strange.
Ooh, ooh, can I play the "Crazy Pre-E3 Gaming News" game too?! - Mad Catz is going to announce an Android-based console

Good morning. My Twitter's filled with next-gen discussion... only gonna get thicker with that next week.
A game industry collapse seems plausible now. There is so much money involved in these new consoles and AAA games, a couple bad releases could trigger even a giant like EA to topple.
Yup. AAA games cost way too much money to make, and overall, there's just way too much product out there. I think the PC and mobile spaces will be fine since so much of that is friendlier to smaller developers, but consoles are in trouble. Nintendo might be in the most favorable position now, but that's not saying much
The problem here, IMO, is that sometimes developers just cash in on the sequel. "Oh, this worked well and people bought it last time. Let's just kind of play paint by numbers and hope it sells again." This isn't the 1990s where Super Mario World (SMB4, basically) blew our minds. The problem is that the sequels are uninspired and have lost the magic. :\
Then you have sequels which are bad for awhile, but then the franchise improves and you start anticipating them again *looks at Sonic*
Seriously, though, I don't mind sequels, but... my favorite sequels tend to be iterative, but this seems to be largely the domain of smaller and niche developers whose fanbases expect such iteration. I've noticed this is true when it comes to my husband's taste in sequels, too; Etrian Odyssey for me and Grand Theft Auto for him are two great examples of highly iterative series that we love.
On the flipside, some of the sequels that haven't impressed us are the ones where iteration is underwhelming or not present at all, and these tend to be AAA cash cows as opposed to niche hardcore series or those rare AAA franchises where they spend a lot of time and care to get things right. Unfortunately, the industry tends to favor the cash cows...
But I'd like to see a lot more new franchises coming out, and ones that aren't just rip offs of popular games that pretty much never end up being as good.
One thing that's good about new console cycles is that's when we're most likely to see new franchises. That's one area Nintendo seems to have fumbled on with the 3DS and WiiU (Nintendo Land was just building on old franchises; it wasn't something new like Pikmin was for the GameCube, and Wii Sports/Fit/etc. were for the Wii), but it remains to be seen what will happen with Sony and Microsoft.

Guys, we should always like the first post of the GGT so that way we're always at the top of the most liked list.
Sorry, no. I'll need some more time back here before I can start liking/favoriting/whatevering GGTs. Yes, I'm gonna try and post here regularly again! It's blueshinra 3.0! Or something.
Also, I'm starting to get you and Luxuria mixed up thanks to your dyed-hair-girl avatars.

Ahh, it's poster "level" then.
There's something between CAG in Training and CAGiversary! -- that's probably 2 dots.
CAG Veteran, IIRC.
Also, I feel like an ass for letting it slip my mind when I saw your post earlier in the thread, but my condolences Indignate. It's always tough when a pet dies
I really, really should beat Viewtiful Joe this week and knock it off my "currently playing" list, but not looking forward to another attempt at its Capcom Boss GauntletTM.

Like everyone else, I have a few requests/questions pertaining to the new board:
- Is there a way to default to having the post editor off all the time (to the editing mode with the Courier font and bbcode)?
- Speaking of that mode, the text wraps around oddly when I use it-- like when I get to the end of a line, if I'm still typing a word, said word continues onto the next line instead of the whole thing popping over to it. Spaces behave in a similar manner.
- In posts, quoted text doesn't seem to be as differentiated from body text as it was on the previous board. Quotes and non-quotes seem to blend in a little more now...
- Will we be able to have our gamertags, etc. under our names like on the old board?
I see that Cheapy has addressed this, but what I would like to know is how this will affect URLs for those threads. Will they change as well when a thread title is edited?
We are going to get the ability to edit thread titles back, right? My CAG Trading thread is all effed up now because I can't change the title.
On the old board, there were quite a few of them in the General Gaming forums, blogs, and elsewhere. Spambots are persistent buggers like that
Is the new forum now vulnerable to spambots? I don't recall ever seeing spam posts before, but now the contests/free stuff board is plastered with them.
It should work. Although, if there are two or more "skins" that we can choose from, we'll have to be careful about what custom colors we use in our posts...
Now, when you guys bring back the dark background, will users be able to choose which one they want?
Because I wonder who that'd work.
Imagine someone who's typing in white on a black background and someone (probably just me) has the white enabled.
Okay, so I wasn't done with requests A "jump to page #" feature would be great.
One more suggestion/issue: it's really difficult to navigate through longer threads right now. Currently, a huge thread like the Amazon Deals thread has only three page numbers at the top that you can click on. For example, it's on page 634 right now. If I wanted to look back and read something on page 620, it's going to take me forever to get there. On the old board, there were "bookmarks" every so-and-so number of pages which allowed for easier navigation.
Having done this sort of site migration before myself (though not nearly on this scale ), yeah, it'll take awhile. Still, I hope all of our feedback is useful; that's why this thread's here!
The new site has only been live a few hours I figure most concerns will be addressed within the next few days.
I think that's all my thoughts on this for now...
