#12667275 PlayStation TV Compatibility List (Vita, PSP, PS1, PS Minis, and PS Mobile)

Posted by eastx on 29 April 2015 - 01:26 PM

Curious, how many of you are using the PS TV instead of playing the games on your Vita? I've thought about getting one as I have quite a few Vita games and the idea of playing them on my nice big 4K TV is appealing, but not sure if it's worth the current price as we all expect these things to continue dropping in price. I wanted to know what you guys who own it think and how do the games look blown up on a larger screen?

The games look great on it - pretty much like playing a PS3 game.

It's nicer to play on the PS TV because the DualShock has much better sticks than the actual Vita.

I play on the PS TV when I'm sitting in front of it. If I want to play from a different room, I still break out the Vita. I use PS+ cloud saving to transfer saves back and forth, as swapping the memory card around is a hassle.

You'll be missing some characters that are unlocked by playing through the main story. 6 are available with Episode 1. So you'd also be missing character specific skills, which isn't a big deal.

EastX just wrote about this at WC

EDIT: Some people are saying you don't get all the levels. Still worth it for the levels that you do get for $3

Also, here's the Raid Mode video that Bob and I made together. Please check it out:

#12667014 Xbox One - General Discussion Thread

Resident Evil Revelations 2 recently got an update that adds online co-op to Raid Mode, plus a few new costumes. That inspired me to specifically review Raid Mode, which is quite addicting and the best part of the game IMO. Since you get Raid Mode with the first episode, which is currently on sale for $3, it's a must-buy IMO. Please check out the review and video:

Worst week ever. Im playing my PS4 tonight in protest!

I'll be playing my new PS Vita that arrives in the mail today! Okay, I'll also be playing Xbox One State of Decay on Twitch when embargo lifts tomorrow, and some Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin as well.

So much gaming goodness. A good sale woulda been nice too though.

Why edit?

Past Twitch broadcasts are only saved for a short period of time. If you edit the broadcast (super limited editing tools, just setting the start and stop points and nothing else) to create a highlight, you can keep that highlight for far longer (maybe indefinitely, I forget). Highlights show up on top of your away image when you're not broadcasting.

It's good to make them. But also a pain since almost nobody watches past broadcasts or highlights, and NONE of the Twitch apps support watching replays because of the awful format Twitch uses for them. Exporting the full broadcast or highlight to YouTube is generally the best option if you want people to watch.

I dont know if I can trust this site there is a lot of negative chatter about it over the web...

I've ordered from them about 10 times over the years and never had any problems. Also, the $17 in credit you get from this can be applied to a nice Vita memory card. Rakuten even sells the 64 GB cards.

I don't think the Dark Souls 2 first play stream was anything special (most of the blame must fall on Tyler). But I am really digging the game. it's frustrating sometimes but not non-stop like some people have painted it to be. I think it's probably better to play on your own so that you can look up guides and help without worrying about the Twitch audience.

Is FH2 a game you can play once a week and still have fun with it or do you have to be locked in every day to be able to compete at anything?

And these bundles w/ extra cars - I'm on the fence regarding whether they're useful or just collector's items I won't care about.

Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One is more of a "play for 30+ minutes" kind of game. You do a lot of driving fair distances, hunting for signs, getting to your next destination, etc. You can take on a championship (a set of 3-ish races) in an hour, or just knock out one race from the championship if you're low on time. If playing on the easier settings, you won't need to worry about your skills eroding when you don't check in often enough. I play every few weeks lately and still greatly enjoy it.

The Bucket List races on the other hand, those are butt-ass hard and you'd need to sit there trying them over and over, playing at your very peak. I've resolved myself to never completing them because they suck and are not needed to progress in the game.

lol, i was there. i just wasn't talking cause i was playing dragon's crown with velo. i thought about buying it to play with you guys, but it sounded like you already had a few people who wanted to join in.

At least you were with us in spirit! Let me know if you decide to get Toukiden. We could use a regular multiplayer partner to fill out the team.
