I own all systems fir this very reason. Having loyalty to either Microsoft or Sony, two companies that give no shits about you, is a ridiculous.

This reasoning, is a ridiculous.

i'm guessing SMB must be the first game beaten for an overwhelming majority of people who were gaming up till the SNES came around, being that it was packaged with the console and one of the early "beatable" games, + everyone knew the warpzone tricks (and you'd try to trick newbs to jump to their deaths to get to the "secret" warpzone, lol).

I beat a good amount of classics in the 80's. When I try that stuff on remasters and emus nowadays, i'm amazed that I had that kind of patience and hand-eye coordination.

That's why I like how indie retro inspired games get me my nostalgia fix. They're much easier and don't make me feel too much like grandpa.

The way that you let them know the practice sucks is don't buy the game. Money is all they care about. They know gamers are going to nitpick and complain no matter what and then still buy the game anyways.

Your point is basically: "Don't buy the game if you don't like it, but don't express why"

There is a part you have to make a jump to cut off about 6 seconds of your time.  Once you find that, I googled it, I did it the second time.  Before that, I spent about 30 minutes so I feel you.

I didn't know there was a shortcut, but I beat the highscore by simply memorizing the curves and boosts. Just like oldschool F-Zero.

The only thing I can't seem to pull off in that game is a 540 spin in surfing for the cheevo. I get to maximum speed and height but still can't.
