Been reading this thread almost 10 years and I've not read a word about the right wing accelerating climate change and the extinction of humanity...lol. I mean, that's something that's actually important. Say the word "blacks" and people get triggered.
Perfect example why I'm become a lurker and won't comment in this tread anymore, It's full of depressed shopping addicts talking about ....lol.
So you stopped being a lurker to make a comment to explain why this thread isn't worth commenting on?

You were warned... but no, had to play it.
Had to play it? It was the tipping point to get me to buy the system. Guess it's for the best I'm in my 40s. If I had my reflexes from 15-20 years ago, it just wouldn't be fair to everyone else playing.

Well, time for my annual trigger-pull on FIFA. The Gold price is 60% off, which is as good as it's gonna get for another few months, and time is of the essence with FIFA games. So Christmastime is the sweet spot (especially when increased free time is factored in).
I never want to get FIFA (or any other game, really) at release, even though I know each installment's lifespan is shorter than the tenure of a Crystal Palace manager (or Cleveland Browns coach, for those who need to know the NFL equivalent).
I know the game will be obsolete within a year, with practically no trade-in value, but I can't help myself. One of my weaknesses. And the game is pretty much un-backlog-able. Most un-CAG-like of me.
*continues rationalizing on way to console to buy game with hard-earned sale-bought rewards credits*
It's always hard to justify buying a game you will actually play when you know deep down you should be spending that money on a half dozen cheaper games for the backlog that you will never play.

Imagine not buying a game because of some meaningless achievement point number. lol Gee whiz, are you nervous someone is going to judge you because because it's an uneven number? Enjoy life!
Whenever I see someone with an achievement score that doesn't end in a 5 or 0 I question everything about their lives. They are the real enemy of society and we must cast them out like lepers!

I have a hard time believing anyone at this point that says they've been with Xbox since day one and has NEVER played Halo in 17 years. That person simply does not exist. I get Xbox One owners not playing the new stuff, but that's only because of the overall botch job 343 has done since they took over, and the fall from popularity the series had. But you owned an OG or 360 there is no way to have completely avoided every single game. I don't think it's the same as having avoided Call of Duty, Fortnite, or something else popular, for the first 6 to 10 years of Xbox, Halo was simply part of the DNA of the platform. At the very least everyone saw a dirt cheap copy of one of the games or tried Halo 3 when it was GWG.
As for the other stuff, it's fine to not like a specific game like TLoU, (who gives a shit what you like on the internet right?), but when it's a game that is so well regarded I think it's also fair to expect some people to disagree.
Same goes for preferring PC. As long as you aren't trashing console players no one cares. Go to the Steam thread or some PC master race circlejerk subreddit or something if use console players somehow not preferring mouse and keyboard is an issue for you. You're probably getting shit here primarily because XiM4 in competitive shooters is considered cheating on console to a lot of people, as well as Microsoft themselves. There is a reason some games like Overwatch are actually balanced differently between console and PC.

Because I was a sucker and pre-ordered Battlefield 5 on XBL, never anticipating it would drop so fast, EA/Microsoft took pity upon me and sent me codes for 2 free months of EA Access which is equivalent to $5 in value. Better then nothing but come on, this was a 33% to 50% drop in 2 weeks. If anyone else here pre-ordered it on XBL look in your xbox messages for the codes (2 different 1 month codes)
On a brighter note the Just Cause 4 Game Pass Quest awarded me the 500 points within an hour of gaining an achievement.
I believe the big discount on XBL credit thru Bing rewards is ending 12/15 so use your points up ASAP on those!
If the past month or two have taught us anything I think it's that we should only buy a game for full price at launch if we actively want to support the developers/game or maybe if it's guaranteed quality like Red Dead.
