I keep hearing rumors that the 3DS eshop will be discontinued here soon.

Thursday there were all the issues with it being down for most of the day, then yesterday I went to Gamestop to buy a digital code for Pokemon Red and the guy said that specific location stopped receiving codes for 3DS games.

I went to another location today and was able to get one that they had left over but they also said they stopped receiving new codes. The district manager was surprised that it worked Because he was under the assumption that the American 3ds eshop was already shut down.

The 3DS was discontinued. Why would you be surprised that Gamestop would stop receiving digital codes for their games?

I haven't played Genshin to compare the two but I had a blast Platinuming Immortals. Combat and exploration felt very good, the puzzles were just the right difficulty and the story and humor were entertaining. I'd go as far as to say it's my GOTY. Paid full price and don't regret it a bit.

Exactly my thoughts on the game also. It's not quite my GOTY but it's near the top.

How do you have the time to finish all those games? Holy shit. I wish I could. Envious.

Not too hard if you don't have kids. I've finished at least 80 games each year for the last 5+ years. I'm married, work a full time job running a company, and we watch through like 80 shows a year also.

Cd Projekt Red folks are good people. To offer a refund and meet with fans distaste is a stand up move.

The Pathless is my next game after I wrap up Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Surprised more people aren't talking about Immortals its going to be high up on my game of the year list. Fun gameplay and it looks amazing. I'm enjoying it more than Breath of the Wild the game it's heavily inspired by.

So far I've put over 50 hours into my PS5 and still no issues. Played through:
Astro's Playroom (amazing)
Bugsnax (decent)
Miles Morales (great)
Sackboy (great)

Played about 5 hours of Godfall which is about as boring a game as I've played with really no redeeming features so I got rid of it. Now am a few hours into Immortals Fenyx Rising and so far so good.

I am livid right now.

I went into GameStop this morning to get the 3 month Game Pass card for $19.99 and a new copy of Code Vein for Xbox One for $9.99. I also wanted to use my $5 off monthly coupon since I have a strict Black Friday budget, and I had been saving the coupon all month expressly for that purpose. I even went in with exact change, and they still managed to louse up my shopping experience.

When I got to the counter after waiting patiently, the girl at the counter kept harping on the fact that my Pro membership would run out on New Year's Day and that I needed to renew it today which I told her that I already knew when it would run out and that I just wanted to buy the items that I came in for. Then, she came up with some flimsy story to say that the $5 coupon would not apply to Black Friday purchases.

I told her to get the manager. The manager said the same thing but that she would only take $5 off the purchase if I promised to come back this weekend to renew my Pro membership. I was pissed, and I told her that there is a reason that GameStop is the last place that I go to when I buy games just because of these kinds of shady business tactics.

On top of that, when I opened the bag on my way to the car, it was a gutted copy of Code Vein. I don't want anything that's been unwrapped and handled by strangers until they cure COVID-19, but it's probably the best deal that I will see on that game for a while, so I'm just going to tie up the bag and throw it in my trunk for a month to kill the germs.

I remember now why I avoid GameStop like the plague. I'm not sure if I'm even going to renew my membership in 2021 because of their horrible customer service and shady tricks.

And I would love to burn them on the survey. I can't figure out a reason not to unless someone can give me one.

Anyone on the fence for Miles Morales, I got my hands on it and I knew the impression that it was more like Spider-Man dlc than a full game. It is, it’s fun with a minor new mechanics so I’d put it at about $20-$25. Solid dlc, about 7 hours then all the additional collection things.

I'll disagree and say it was well worth the $50 I paid for it. I enjoyed it even more than Spider-Man (a game I loved) and it will be high up in my favorite games of the year. 

I think its time to take a break from these forums. I can find deals elsewhere. There is enough negativity going on the regular world so to have to see 99% of the posts on these forums be just constant whining and complaining about EVERYTHING is too much. I got new systems to play next week so I'll be enjoying myself. Hopefully you all can find a hobby that brings you enjoyment and not just another thing in your life to complain about.

Anyone play Spiritfarer on PS4? I would prefer that over PC but I hesitate to play text-heavy games on it because it tends to be waay too small even on a large TV

I played through it on ps4 on a 55 inch and had no problem with the text size.

You’d have a point if they were providing a product that clearly has demand. If they had wanted to be first to market, then they should have put in the effort; not threaten smaller companies when they had no visible plans yet. It’s a garbage move by a company getting trashier by the day with all their greedy decisions and I will 100% support the PlateStation crew when they come back later.

Well crap, I just bought Mechstermination Force last week on the PS4. Great game though - like some weird Contra and Shadow of the Colossus lovechild, except there is a fairly big wall in the middle where you will need to grind some money to get past stages. The spider one in particular has some really random stuff going on that you will need to just outlast it with extra health upgrades or get damn lucky. Still fun though.

Yeah, you got it. That's the thing, you can feel some framerate drops in games but unless it is drastic I mean who really gets uptight about it? If you are playing a 60fps and it dips to say 55 when shit gets really crazy does it really harm the experience? Another example, they really harp on From Software games over "frame pacing", where it stays at 30 most of the time, yet sometimes it pokes up to 31 due to timing and they made such a huge deal out of it on both Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3.

As someone who loved Control and played through all the DLC the frame rate drops are drastic. I play on a Pro and it's easily the worst I've ever seen in a big budget game.

I would kill for some Ratchet and Clank collections. I would love to replay through the Future series.
