#14254988 The Gamestop Thread

Posted by SueMana on 11 January 2020 - 08:10 PM

i got my elite account 90 day ban.. really wanted to flip but oh well...

Flips weren't that great anyway. Only 90+ titles and so many of us are trade banned from the B2G2. Out of the 600+ B2G2 flips each store had around 70-200 in stock at least near me so that is when you should of tried to make bank.

Many require Elite Pro like the 4/60 and B2G2 sheet I made. This is my last sheet assuming they kill Elite Pro for obvious reasons. The easiest console to find is the Sega Genesis Mini but Playstation Classic has a far better cost. Nintendo Wii is another choice at $59.99 and you can trade the accessories back in for $12+.

Well going to make a B2G2 sheet tomorrow assuming anyone wants one. Below link is the full 4/60 list. Just like the post if you want one or comment why it isn't needed.

Just went to a Gamestop that's not my home store. All 3 switch titles came up less in store trade than the app. Lego DC villains, Lego marvel super heroes 2 and Hyrule Warriors. Showed them the app and was told that's elite and you're not elite. I am. Got accused of showing them screenshots. I was on the app.

I use the website to generate values and I did my last trade in store today and the values were the same. Is it a test store they are trying a new test program where high value games no longer exist.

Thanks for the link. But I was hoping for that ps4 list too. And wait, you need to pay gamestop for certain game for them to take it in? Dafuq? Am I reading that right?

Updated main sheet with PS4 and X1 profitable games thanks for saying something. Going to bed I will add the other consoles as well tommorow.

If you cannot find any games of value amass Wii Sports bumped to $15 and One Piece PS4 plenty of 3ds games and Wii u hit high values 22 PS4 games make 2-5 with elite.

Call me naïve, but even after all of these years I'm still not 100% sure why the "Gamestop ban" is such a significant thing. Keep in mind I'm not a big trader and not privy to a lot of the "flip" situations that go down. If it were the "flip" people that were the only ones getting banned, to some degree I could understand it.

The point I am really trying to get at here is that I often hear of people being banned simply for trading in "a lot" of games. And that's the part I don't understand. Gamestop acts as if they WANT you to trade in stuff all the time. Every time you go in there they ask if you have trades, they encourage trades when they advertise new games, and they even offer promotions for trading in games. So why is it that if I were to decide to unload my collection one day, they would "ban" me simply for trading in "too much" stuff? It doesn't make much sense to me. If they are going to sell everything I trade in for profit, why would they cut themselves off from that opportunity? Why would they care that I woke up one day and decided to unload my entire collection of 200 PS4 games? Why do they feel the need to suddenly punish me for doing what they are asking me to do? I keep hearing about people getting banned after reaching a certain credit or profit margin. Are they automatically assuming the games are stolen when the margin gets too high? I guess this may be a dumb question but someone please enlighten me.

Pretty sure LP looks at your account if a employee calls it in and large trades unless they exceed $2000 will not trigger a ban. Even if you do get banned for a large trade calling LP should resolve your issue. If you check Reddit and other sites some employees don't really care if it is stolen. 5 copies of the same game, law enforcement and multiple consoles will also lead to a ban.

Pre-owned values did not decrease but with the drops from Saturday and some other things we will be profiting quite a bit. Will update spreadsheet later.
