My two cents...
Always possible, and while I hope I'm wrong I'd say $125 without a controller is solid at this point; I'd jump if I could get that when the Gears X1S arrives. My personal thought is that time is money, so any downtime without an X1 such as waiting for the new one next year is still money lost. Given what X1 sells for currently $125 is a solid offer to trade up.
Earlier in the thread Tyrok said the $125 would be on a gift card, no coupon.

I also agree 125 seems a little low.. may brave up and test the cl waters..
What the heck are you people hoping or expecting for an X1? They're $250 now with most places giving a $50 GC or extra controller, making them essentially $180-200. Mine last November was $190 after accounting for everything included. I'd love to be wrong but I can't imagine a better deal than $125 w/o controller. Personally I'd jump on that but I want the Gears X1S.

What I mean is, I cant get 300 for mine on craigslist when its back to 350 in store. The market is so bad.
Just striking up conversation about the pricing
1. Why wouldnt you just return it? Places like Best Buy gave until Jan 15th for anything purchased between Nov 1 and Dec 31.
2. Accountability; What's $50 for something that could easily be a wooden log, or just broken? That's a small price for the security of having somewhere - a store - to go to should something happen.
3. Why would someone buy yours for $300 when just recently and for weeks there were far better deals? What consumer wouldn't have bought a $299 Xbox One w/ free $50 Giftcard at Target before Christmas but will pay $300 without a giftcard from a stranger after Christmas?
Your conversation is very anecdotal and disregards many valid reasons your Xbox isn't as great a deal as you may think.

This whole fighting CS reps for a price adjustment is getting old. I guess the lesson to learn is that you should never buy a game day 1 unless it's something you can't live without playing ASAP.
My day one copy of COD is collecting dust.
My day one was $38 after $10 rewards certificate, and I traded it back weeks later for $44 credit.
You can take away "Dont buy day one", a mostly good idea for almost all software and has been for decades now; Personally I just think being aware of deals to never pay full price is the best policy.
There were several B2G1 sales this holiday, and a game becoming $40 that quick doesnt usually happen.
