Oh good grief. Mine from Japan is expected to arrive tomorrow. I could have just waited a week and not paid an extra $10 and clogged up international shipping routes.

I'm definitely biting on some of those Johnny Turbo games. Definitely Night Slashers, and maybe Bad Dudes, Nitro Ball, and Gate of Doom. Or would it be better to just skip to Wizard Fire?
Also, what's the best deal for getting Neo Geo games these days? A few of those are on sale as well. Metal Slug and Samurai Shodown (original) are on the list, though I know there's a Metal Slug Anthology on PS4 and there were talks of a Samurai Shodown collection.

I'm hoping that they will release this collection with upgraded HD graphic for the consoles, PS4 especially.
No kidding. That game list would be an absolute steal at $30. I just don't want dedicated hardware for it, especially if the TV hookup is subpar.

Yeah, I'm thinking of ordering one from Amazon JP at this point. I'm worried that it might not actually ever come here, or be hard to get when it does.
As far as the price goes...I've never played anything on the TG-16 Mini outside of a few minutes spent on commonly ported stuff like R-Type or Ghouls 'n Ghosts. $100 is perfectly reasonable for the amount I would be getting.

Good news on the 3.5mm port. That was my big concern.
I just hope that there is still mic support for actual headsets (so I can use a better mic) and maybe chatpads (not as big a deal but would be nice).
We should be good on the headsets. From the Playstation Blog:
DualSense also adds a built-in microphone array, which will enable players to easily chat with friends without a headset – ideal for jumping into a quick conversation. But of course, if you are planning to chat for a longer period, it’s good to have that headset handy.

Welp, I've officially said it. I bought:
- Ori and the Blind Forest
- Baba is You
- Marble It Up!
- Stardew Valley
- Wilmot's Warehouse
- Arcade Archives Donkey Kong
Yep, I got 4 of those at full normal price. I am just absolutely sick of waiting for months upon months for some of this stuff to go on sale, only for it to be a measly $3-$4 off. Or in the case of Donkey Kong, I've been waiting for a full year and a half with no sales whatsoever.
I just blew a sizable portion of my remaining Christmas cash on this purchase, but I have no regrets. Now I can finally stop tracking the price of this stuff week to week, because honestly, the OCD of it all was really starting to drive me nuts, especially after Black Friday/Cyber Monday and holiday sales. I just want to stop thinking about sales for a while and just enjoy the (massive amount of) games I have.
Sorry for the rant, you guys are awesome and Frisky performs a real service for the community. This has apparently been building for a while, bought to my attention when I realized that I've wasted the last 3-4 evenings planning out sale purchases rather than actually playing anything. But now, I'm finally just about out of disposable game income, and I can't obsess over sales when I have no money to spend.
Let 2020 be the year of the backlog. If you see less of me on here in the coming months (assuming you noticed me to begin with), now you know why. Cheers!

Thanks to the power of gift cash, my backlog has swollen a bit.
- The Messenger
- Va-11 Hall-A
- Wonder Boy and the Dragon's Trap
- Axiom Verge
- Pinball FX3 Jurassic World bundle
- A Robot Named Fight
Not a bad haul for $55 (and a few hundred gold coins). Finally knocking off some big titles that have been on my wishlist for most of the year.

I'm guessing things may be difficult because of Rare, but if anyone knows who I need to sleep with to get DKC2 in the SNES catalog, let me know.
I don't think Rare is a problem there, since the DKC trilogy was released for the Virtual Console and DKC is on the SNES Classic.
So you might show up at Nintendo's door with a bottle of wine and hope for the best.

Yeah, don't let yourself think that parenthood means the end of gaming. While having small children, I've sunk about 170 hours in to Monster Hunter World and 100-something hours into Smash Ultimate. With a newborn, who can't go anywhere and sleeps most of the time, just stick the baby in your lap and game between feedings. This has the added benefit of letting mommy sleep while you game, which she will no doubt appreciate.

That NES/SNES game list is baller. I'm stoked to try Super Punch-Out and Journey to Silius, and I'm pleasantly surprised to see Star Fox 2 make it in. I thought it might get there eventually.
Also Super Star, which I'll get to play with my kid.
Same here! We're just about finished with Dream Land 3, so this is excellent timing.
