Just got an email that on February 7 a handful of 360 and OG XBox games will be delisted from the marketplace. Things that caught my eye were Breakdown, Blue Dragon, Orange Box, L4D 1 and 2 and some others. You can still redownload them after they've been delisted they confirm.

I'm assuming that is just from the Xbox 360 Marketplace, so I would still be able to buy Kotor II from Xbox regular store after February 7th, but it doesn't seem perfectly clear.

Age of Empires II is up on GamePass.

Can I plug in mouse and keyboard to play it on Xbox? Although I guess I might as well just play it on my PC like I normally do at that point, unless it has a new achievement list.

I’m shocked Xbox is only down 8%. At Christmas the only new games we got were for PS5 and Switch. I’m buying Harry Potter Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox but that’s the first big game I’ve bought on Xbox in a long time. Between Gamepass and just feeling like Xbox has been in a dry spell on games I want to play, it’s been a minute since I’ve bought anything big. I play Apex and Fortnite and Overwatch 2 on Xbox though because it’s my favorite ecosystem and favorite controller of the major consoles.

I got that marvel game free from Verizon Wireless, guess I should go beat the campaign before they shut it down.

Crazy? Not at all. Those billions have to come from somewhere, not to mention these big mergers almost always equal layoffs. Capitalism, baby!

Tom Warren shared some insight that actually makes the 10,000 layoff seem smaller.

2019: ~144,000 Microsoft employees
2020: ~163,000 Microsoft employees
2021: ~181,000 Microsoft employees
2022: ~221,000 Microsoft employees

Letting go of 10,000 employees still means they are at 211,000 which is way more then they had in prior years. Still sucks if you are one of the 10,000 but does give context to the number.

All the big tech companies are currently laying people off.
