#13887940 Best Buy Black Friday 2017

Posted by ShadowX on 23 November 2017 - 08:35 AM

Anyone having issues with the log-in/log-out @ checkout. Having two tabs opened worked for me.

Steps:

1. Go through the process until checkout logs you out as guest

2. open 2nd tab and log back into best buy main page

3. reload first tab (the one with the checkout screen)

4. profit

Edit: SmileyMcSmiles beat me to it.

Can someone answer me a quick question? I'm at work and don't have my Fire device with me, but it looks like they are offering a discount on a Plex subscription IAP. Is this correct and what's the cost? Thanks.

50% off annual sub (reg. $39.99).

Sleeping Dogs is awesome.  Not sure about the collection.  DSII is fun from what I played, but SD is great.  I think I put 40 hours into it.  If you want an eternal timesink... dat minecraft.

Base Game is excellent.

Just beat Sleeping Dogs the other day. Trying to talk myself out of buying the DLC pack, but I will probably cave. You might as well get the complete pack now, even though a bunch of it is just cheats and horse armor.

Wolf Among Us info.

This is late, but I agree with them. You should definitely check out Sleeping Dogs. As for the collection, it is not really worth it. The only DLC that has decent content are

-Year of the Snake (in the collection)

-Nightmare in North Point (not in the collection)

-Zodiac Tournament (in the collection)

Total: $3.77

Some also suggested the Wheels of Fury for the cars/racing. (in the collection)

If you don't have the base game yet, I would probably get the collection for $7.99 + Nightmare in North Point.

If you have the base game I would just get them individually.

#10613934 Xbox One on the way. DRM removed, more details to come.

Posted by ShadowX on 11 June 2013 - 08:00 AM

Just a thought about the PS4 and the issues with DRM and "always online." During the announcement, Tretton specifically stated disc-based games can be played offline, but nothing about digital games. I assume this is because all digital games will be streamed/stored from Gaikai. If that is the case, what would stop publishers from moving to digital only releases since this is supposedly the future for gaming.

Is it possible that:

Microsoft approached this issue straightforwardly while Sony approached it subtlely-- leaving it open to a future transition to digital games only.

If so, the PS4 would, in a way, be always online and have DRM in order to access your games from Gaikai minus the few disc-based games from launch and early years of its life.
