#12089582 New Xbox 360 Holiday Bundles!

Posted by Indiana on 13 September 2014 - 12:39 AM

It's crazy that last gen is still $249. They really should be $199 or $149 bundles. I expect to see a ton of these left on the shelves unless someone drops the price a bunch for BF.

#11784617 Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked 2 years $60 (50% discount)

Posted by Indiana on 24 May 2014 - 12:26 AM

Lol every time I buy a new game I have buyers remorse until I actually pop the game in and play it. I currently have over 200 games (no joke no lie) in my backlog right now too steaming from Dreamcast to PS4. I was under the impression from what I read on here from other members that you can only use the GCU and receive the pre-order credit if you buy at the brick and mortar store. That is why I asked my initial question in this very thread of the other perks associated with this membership. Now if anyone can provide a link or point me in the right direction that states this 20% GCU discount can be applied to Bestbuy.com as well that would be most helpful. Thanks to Cochese for supplying the link with the $10 online pre-order credit so now I am aware of that fact. But if anyone could provide something stating that this GCU could be used online too then I would join GCU on the 25th as well. As that would be a great deal to have the free shipping with the 20% discount and $10-$20 pre-order credits linked to Best Buy's GCU membership even if you have to pay tax. If you can do this online and have it shipped for free then I am all over this then.

You get 20% off games online. Just login with your ID and it shows the discounted price.

#11709974 Target - PS3/360 NASCAR '14 $15 - In Store Only - YMMV

Posted by Indiana on 23 April 2014 - 08:50 PM

Cleaned out my local target. Finally used up the last of my credit from last years a Gen 1 iPad bonanza.

Really? A good price on a game and you buy every copy? This isn't slick deals.

#11699126 RetroN 5 $129.99 with free shipping @ ThinkGeek - The RetroN 5 deals thread

Wow I really wanted this but any price over $100 is a joke. There is no way they will sell enough of these at $150.

#11684945 Newegg Xbox One Game Sale: Starting at $27+

Nice prices. Hopefully this means price drops for all these first releases for PS4 and Xbox 1.

#11678759 BestBuy 1 day Only game sale 2K Essentials Collection $9.99 ps3/xbox 360...

You would have to get a new hard drive. Also, the E model doesn't use the same A/V port as the last models did. It has an HDMI port, and then a separate port that looks like a 3.5mm port that the standard composite cables plug in to. I don't think they have released component cables that are compatible with the E model. So it's either HDMI or composite.

You don't need a new hard drive. Just buy the generic case for the new Xbox and remove your old drive from the Microsoft Case and put it in the new case. I think the case was $6.

I'm not sure I like the idea of them planning to do a lot of reprints. This plan is great for everyone that wants to play games but it will terrible for game collectors.

Hopefully this will bring some much needed Indie games to the Xbox One.

#11556220 Titanfall Xbox One Bundle $499.99

Posted by Indiana on 25 February 2014 - 03:08 AM

If Microsoft is smart they will hand these download codes out to everyone that purchased a new console in the last 30 days. If they do not do this the retailers and Microsoft are going to get thousands of open xbox ones returned to them.

Let's hope they have a plan to allow users or stores to provide the download codes to them.

Also for the rest of us this may mean being able to ebay a titanfall code for cheap.

On a somewhat related note... I scored a 250 gb xbox 360 E console for $74 dollars shipped off best buy's auction site.  Crazy.

What is the best buy auction website? I didn't know they had their own auction website. I found one on dtdeals.com but I'm not sure if it's legit.

So 2 crummy Free games with gold this month and nothing for Xbox One. Does anyone have a Microsoft Xbox feedback page? Either Microsoft doesn't care of they just don't get it.

#11482681 PlayStation 4 - General Discussion Thread

Posted by Indiana on 29 January 2014 - 02:10 PM

Is anyone else disappointed with this gen so far as I am?  I don't recall it being like this for Xbox, PS2, and PS3...

This is how every new console launches. I would say this gen is better than previous. The PS4 has free games with PS+. I don't recall any console that allows me to have 3 free games to play. It looks like there are some really good games coming in February and March so I think it's going well.

On Xbox 360 I remember only playing COD2 for a long time because of a lack of other interesting titles. On Gamecube I remember playing Star Wars Rogue leader.

Playing AC4 on the PS4 is a great experience. (only PS4 game I've bought so far) (I guess being cheap I expect to wait for more deals.) :)

What's the word on next months games for gold? Is Microsoft going to give anything free for Xbox One? It feels like Sony is doing everything right and Microsoft could care less about giving anything away.

#11476721 Microsoft Xbox One for $479.99

Posted by Indiana on 27 January 2014 - 12:57 PM

Kinda shocked we are already seeing sales on the console.

I'm not sure that I would call this much of a sale. If a retailer knocks $20 off and you buy a controller and a game I expect they come out ahead. It's not very shocking.
