I already know the answer to this question, so this is sort of rhetorical, but if a video game doesn't have anything in it that you actually play(a la visual novels) then simply checking out a Let's Play is essentially the same exact experience, no?
To me, this would be like reading a book over someone's shoulder. They're turning the pages at their own rate and you're just kind of along for the ride. Except also this book talks to you and maybe sometimes you want to hear the voice work and sometimes you just want to move along. And usually there's at least a little interaction in terms of story branching, if not some puzzle solving ala Danganronpa (but at that point it's maybe debatable if it's still a VN).
