#11248603 Xbox One Console Thread (Console is currently in stock as of 12/3 at Amazon)

Word of advice from a married guy here "unhappily of coarse" keep them both.

Why would he take advice from someone who is unhappily married - so he can be unhappy too?

Best practice is to look at someone who performing well and get advice from that person, not emulate the person who is doing poorly.

His attitude is excellent and maybe your attitude is part of the problem with your marriage.

I find it odd that every time I watch a video for the PS4 it has an XBOX add prior to it.

Dude, what is your problem.  You are online posting to make fun of someone else?  You do know that you are posting on a website about how to get cheap deals on video games, right?

Quit trying to be the tallest midget.

#11139548 [DEAD] Xbox One Controller + Play & Charge Kit - $59.99 @ Amazon

Posted by MattZack on 16 October 2013 - 11:55 PM

I like having replaceable batteries a la 360 better than the PS3 type of rechargable battery.  Easy just to replace them with my eneloops and keep playing rather than being tethered while the controller is charging.

Wombat, what the heck are you talking about with voting about gender.  Democracy is a form of government!  The only bill I know of that even remotely supports your argument is the Indiana Pi bill.  Even if that had passed it would not change the ratio that is Pi, because the ratio is set and is a mathematical fact.  That is not an opinion.  You can't have an "opinion" that someone is a male or female.  This is governed by genetics and there are times when someone is both, but a vote doesn't change the genetics.  An opinion is a personal judgement about something.  You can think that a female is a male, but that is not based on opinion, it is based on fact.  I really can't believe you don't get the difference between opinions and facts.

To quote the guy from Billy Madison:

"What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.  At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.  Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.  I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul."

#11086871 Madden 25 for $5 at 11:00 PM PDT on amazon gold box today - 9/25/13

From Mashable under Options & Availability:

"For those turned off by the Offers advertising program, which consists of prestitial product offers and ads that appear when the Kindle is in sleep mode, Amazon has sweetened the deal. The company will offer exclusive, time- and quantity-limited offers for Kindle owners only, starting with a $5 deal for Madden NFL 25. While these are limited, Amazon said you can still find available deals –- for as long as they’re live — in the Offers tab."

Just looked on my Kindle and there are no offers for this yet.

CheapyD,

On show 332 after comparing gun policy in the US and Japan, you said: "Japan does a few things right.  They really got that right, with the whole gun thing.  They, now they gotta get the smoking thing going.  Gotta get rid of those cigarettes ".

That does sound like a stance on gun control to me.

After this, you also said: "Welcome to uhh Fox and Friends - the opposite of that".

If you read it, what does it sound like to you?

The text of the 2nd amendment reads:

" A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

I think that "people" means citizens of the USA.  If you don't, please tell me what "people" it is referring to.  For the record, the Supreme Court ruled that it applies to an individual's right whether they are associated with a militia or not.  See District of Columbia vs. Heller.

Also, do you understand what a militia is?  It is a group of civilians who also act as soldiers or who are called upon in an emergency.  I do agree that the 2nd amendment is meant to arm a militia and I think the militia would be formed of US citizens.

It is not an entitlement - the government is not giving me a gun, it is a right.  Like the right of free speech, not the entitlement of free speech.

As for Monsanto, they already have more control of the government than I want them to have.  I am not a fan of a law that dictates that you can't sue a company if they produce a product that harms people.

Cheapy, not all gun control stories are as nice as it has turned out in Japan:

Turkey - From 1915 - 1917 there were 1.5 million Armenians killed after gun control enacted in 1911

Soviet Union - 1929 - 1953 there were 20 million dissidents killed after gun control enacted in 1929.  Same in China from 1948 - 1952 after gun control started in 1935.

Uganda - From 1971 to 1979 there were 300,000 Christians were killed after gun control enacted in 1970.

Cambodia - From 1975 to 1977 there were 1 million educated people killed after gun control enacted in 1956.

The US government is set up with a system of checks and balances - the right to keep and bear arms is the final check and balance.  It is to ensure that a tyrannical ruler does not impose his/her will on the masses.

Quit whining about the fact that you have to have a orange tip on a gun.  There are replica airsoft guns here too, but they have the orange tip so that cops don't kill the kids pointing the gun at them.  Boo Hoo, what a pathetic excuse for a complaint.

You say that you were in a bar and drinking, but don't mention how alcohol adversely affects society - why?
