Woo Hoo Hi Score Girl Season 2 is up. I'm going to home and binging this with several beers tonight. I need a show like this right now.

There's also Cop Craft, which is interesting/entertaining. Again, nothing spectacular, but worth watching. Lord Melloi Case Files has been very good too, esp. if you are a Fate fan.
I gotta say thanks for the Astra Lost in Space rec. I started watching and caught up in 2 nights. Really good show.
Started watching Cannon Busters on Netflix. The show is okay, but the OP is one of the catchiest tunes I've heard in a while. I can't get it out of my head. Been humming it for days now.

I've mainly been watching dumb high school comedy anime.
Hitoribocchi no Marumaruseikatsu - The MC can get frustrating to watch. But at least it's better than Watamote were the MC makes no progress at all. I'll keep watching.
Ao-chan Can't Study! - I feel like I've seen this show 100 times already and I'm pretty sure I know how this is going to end already. I may drop this.
We Never Learn: BOKUBEN - Probably my favorite among these shows. But after watching Quintessential Quintuplets last season this scernerio seems a bit derivative.
Why the hell are you here, Teacher!? - This show is a train wreak, but like a train wreak I just can't look away. It's smut and stupid. But sometimes I need that.
Senryu Girl - Unless you want a generic harem look away, Nothing special here.
Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki - This was kinda cute, but it's a 3 minute short. For these shows I typically wait till the the season is done and binge it. I'll do the same for this.

Oregairu Season 3 has been announced (aka My Teenage Rom Com SNAFU)
About damn time!!
I don't remember much about SNAFU. I'm defiantly going to need a refresher at some point. But I remember liking it. Is season 3 supposed to conclude the story?

Steins;Gate 0 question:
I just finished rewatching SG and the movie (so good!) and was thinking of giving SG0 a shot. Reading its synopsis on MAL though, I'm not sure if I should watch it. So for those who have seen it:
1) Is it depressing, or does it just start out sad and work its way up?
2) Does it ruin the feel of the series? I love how SG and the movie end. Considering SG0 starts as an alternate ending to SG, I'm worried it may change my sense of the series.
Sorry for the double post, but I just saw this so decided to respond.
It got pulled from VRV before I could finish it. I was watching the English dub since that's how I watched the original and the voices just matched up, that's the only reason. Anyways the show started out good. Without spoiling anything I did like where it was going. Then maybe 13 episodes in I was getting lost. Maybe because I was watching it a little buzzed at times and your brain needs to be on all cylinders for this one. Again I didn't finish it but it wasn't mind- after mind- that the original was dropping on me.
for your questions:
1 - Yes, it gets rather depressing but hints of sweet scenes especially between Okarin and his "harem". You really feel Okarin's depression and sense of futility.
2 - It doesn't ruin the feel IMO. Once you understand the path this Okarin took you should be fine. Still the original is so good, it's really hard to beat. But I don't see why you shouldn't enjoy this too.

Started watching the Log Horizon I got from Best Buy tonight. I realize it's not exactly news, but I really enjoyed the first four episodes. Isekai is a tough sell for me sometimes, because I need the show to work without solely relying on fourth wall/real world story aspects.
What I mean is, I prefer the shows where you can remove all of the real world references and still have a good fantasy/sci-fi series.
I loved the first season. Great characters and that database intro. Good times
But the show lost me a bit in the second season

From what I've read that's supposed to be a "tip of the iceberg" type situation with Goblin Slayer. However, I have no frame of reference myself.
Really? I heard the opposite. That it doesn't get that "edgy" again. But like you it's just what I heard, no flippin clue if what I'm saying is true.
As for the show I'm on the fence. The scene in question did make me feel uneasy, but despite that I don't think it was that good. However I'll give it another episode or 2.

Wow, that is so sickeningly cutesy it violently induces projectile vomiting. People can actually watch something like that?
I watched the first episode and found it absurd but fun. Haven't seen that clip yet. It's Osmosis Jones the anime.

With DBZ Kai ending tonight, Toonami is replacing it next week with a show called Pop Team Epic.
Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
It's got a following. I tried watching it and it's not my thing. It seemed like a show for 12 years olds.

Now that I finished watching, I can give you some answers.
This was like a Cliff Notes version of Death Note with some pages taken out and re-written for their own narrative. Some of it works while other changes do not.
And you stopped at a good time; the deaths themselves are something I would expect from the Final Destination movies. For a mainstream audience who doesn't want to take the time to read or watch the series, they would probably like it. But going by the source material, it's very disappointing. I felt like Homer Simpson in that one Simpsons episode where he's chasing down the roast yelling "It's still good, it's still good" before accepting it's not. When it was all over, I felt it was okay at best.
The acting, however, was fine. The cast is good given the material they had to work with. I wonder if people liked one particular change:Spoileromitting Mello and Near
Has anyone seen the Japanese live action Death Note movies?
Thanks for the run down. I guess I'll just l leave it alone. If I were to say one thing I did like it was Defoe as the voice of Ryuk. Very fitting.
I have the Japanese live action on DVD but it's been 10 years since I saw them. I liked them, but again the anime is much better. If I ever wanted to experience Death Note again or even recommend it to someone that's were I would go. It's one show were by episode one you are hooked.

My boy is almost 4 now, we occasionally play Roblox and Minecraft on the Xbox, but he doesn't seem terribly interested in playing. He does however love to to watch people play it on Youtube.
My daughter (7) plays Roblox. In fact I was watching her play it today and I was impressed with her platforming skills. However if I put in something like Mario Odyssey and hand her a controller she is terrible and can barely make simple jumps.. I don't get it.

That's quite the write up. Thanks for that. Here's my current watch list
MEGALOBOX - I really dug this. Great animation and IMO a must watch for this season.
Comic Girls - Saw the first episode. Just another SoL show with young cute girls going about their hobby. I don't expect much from this but like Laid-Back Camp and Sakura Quest I'll stick around just so I have something light to watch.
SAO: Gun Gale Online - This was entertaining. The main character is likeable (both online & offline) Her height complex is endearing.
Yowapeda - Abu Abu Abu Abu Abu. I just can't quit this show.
My Hero Academia - 1st episode was pretty much just a recap, but I like these character building arc where some of the background people have a chance to shine a little. I'm expecting big things from you frog girl.
Food Porn (Wars) - This is a terrible show to watch at midnight. I get so hungry watching this and had to grab a snack. Not good for my belly.
Lupin Part 5 - Damn I love Lupin and I'm so happy to have it back. Nicely animated, great music and just classic good ol' Lupin.
Dagashi Kashi 2 - I know this was last season but I'm glad I waited. It's also nice that it's only 14 minutes episode. I thought the first season dragged with full episodes. They're obviously not shy with the Hotaru fan service.

180 hours of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. *whew* That was a long ride.
So I started Yakuza Kiwami and enjoying it very much. Makes me want to visit Japan.
Also playing Ratchet & Clank remake with my daughter. Never played the original so it's not bad for a free PS plus game.
