In Topic: Need advice on a good rewards credit card

Coming from a background of absolutely trashing my credit, CapitalOne was the only major player to offer me a credit card 4 years into nonpayment/delinquent account balances. They offered me a Journeys card which came with credit monitoring services, then 8 months later a Platinum card with 1% reward and 0.25% reward for on-time payments. Then a month after that, the Quicksilver which is 1.5% back available immediately after the transaction posts. So far no issues at all. I closed the first card and run everything I possibly can through the Quicksilver and pay the balance ASAP. If you have other reward interests check them out but for straight up cash back, the Quicksilver has been a nice surprise for me.

Heading down to Rock on the Range this weekend (3rd year in a row). I know what you're saying about Phil.. I'm a huge fan of his music but he needs to STFU and play sometimes. We are definitely skipping Butcher Babies in favor of Reignwolf in the same time slot. I've heard nothing but good things about RW from people who caught them at Sabbath shows. Only other conflict all weekend is we're catching THC over Avatar and I'll be getting shit for choosing Pretty Reckless over Exodus but the rest of that tour is closing out Saturday night (Suicial Tendencies, Slayer).

Also.. Riot Fest lineup is absolutely killer, anyone going?

Tried firehouse for the first time myself recently. The guy at the counter played down the spice level but I found the s'n's meatball to be a bit more than expected. But it was definitely good, maybe without the red pepper flakes next time?

The Bret-Shawn doc was the first Vod I watched and I don't buy for a second that anything from 95 and on was a work.

The part about the striptease was funny because Shawn rolled his eyes as if it never happened and then they cut to him pulling his tights down.

Bret came across as sincere at points and Shawn seemed like he didn't want to be there.
