This is pretty ridiculous. Not only will you have to have bought the DLC for The Outer Worlds to get the $9.99 special upgrade price. But the GamePass base game is not eligible so you’re going to have to buy that too. I thought only Sony did stupid stuff like this.

That is crazy. Give it a few months and perhaps the whole thing will be $9.99, which is how it went with Control.

Rolled credits on Midnight Suns. What a great game! It's shame it didn't do better financially, I'd buy a sequel day one.

 

I bought the discounted Legendary edition, well worth the $$$, so there are still 3 more DLC characters (with missions) coming. I'll go back to it after they are all here.

I haven’t posted in a long time, but that is truly sad.

I finished Midnight Suns about a month ago and loved it. I usually am not into those types of strategy games and actually mostly disliked X-Com for the difficulty, but MS was great.

It sucks that you have to play about 10 hours before it gets started and the tutorial is bad, but it gets much, much better as it goes on. I actually even felt real sadness by the end of the game. I just wish that a sequel was possible because even while playing that game I knew there would probably not be a real follow up because it was just too niche.

I have no idea who thought this game would actually sell well, but I salute them because it’s easily one of the best games to release in 2022. I don’t even regret buying that Legendary edition 2 weeks before it went on sale for 30% off.

 

I'm probably getting towards the end of it now and really enjoying it. I like the Deadpool DLC and Venom comes next week(!). Hopefully it finds new life on Gamepass... still those 2 people leaving don't mean the studio is dead. They may have just wanted to go their own way.

Hey Wombat, thanks for the recommendation on Midnight Suns, I'm really enjoying it! I started only a few days before the Deadpool DLC came out, so I've been enjoying having him on my team.

 

I'm a bit concerned that I'll have finished the story by the time the rest of the DLC comes out. After the story is there still anything to do? I don't see myself doing another playthrough for Storm and Venom just because it's such a long game.

Mostly great.  A couple of game crashes to dashboard, but there are enough autosaves that it isn't an issue.  It's crashed maybe 5 times so far.  Just the Blood and Wine DLC to finish.  I didn't notice ray tracing enough to deal with the sub 4k 60 fps, so played performance mode for most of it.  I've enjoyed it as much as my first completion back when it launched.

 

I've gotten back into it too since the update. Had finished the main game but not the DLC a few years ago. I took me a few hours to get back into the systems of the game, but it's a lot of fun. I tried ray tracing but it was too smeary-looking while playing, performance is better. I did switch on ray tracing during some cut-scenes and it looked great there. Not worth the hassle of switching it on and off though.

 

Finished the Heart of Stone DLC, that was really good... now playing Blood and Wine. Holy crap, howlongtobeat says this is 25-40 more hours? That's a whole other game... 

 

The quests and characters in the Witcher are still far more interesting that most RPGs I've played. No offense, Skyrim

So I took advantage of that Apple TV+ GPU perk afaik there were only like 5 series worth watching, aside from Ted Lasso what were the other ones?

Nobody Saves the World was one of my favorite games of the year. Spent a shocking amount of time on that. The DLC was good too.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve heard it doesn’t have as big of an open world as the more current LEGO games and that doesn’t really bother me. I think they’ve gotten too bloated. I’ve got those other games except Undercover. Considering it is at its lowest price, it might be worth to add to the backlog.

It’s fun. Probably the easiest Lego game, but more fun then I thought it would be. Loved playing it with the kid.

Witcher 3 GOTY has been $10 so many times… I’m sure it will be again soon.

How is the Aeron with upper back/neck support? I'm 6'2 and always seem to have issues with chairs and the upper portion being made for shorter people.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions about how to get Rock Band content for the Xbox 360 on the cheap? I still have the equipment and a few of the discs (RB1, Lego, and Beatles) but I'm missing everything else.

Looks like GameStop no longer carries any of the games or DLC. Nothing turned up on my local Craigslist.

Ebay, Amazon, etc. assuming you're talking about the other DLC discs (Green Day, etc.) You can still buy music through the Xbox store too.
