Never been to one of those but yeah you could have made a killing possibly. I still remember picking up suikoden 2 for 4$ new and sealed at a local family video game store that was going out of business. I used to rent and buy games from them a lot so it was a pretty sad thing to see them go. Especially since they rented much cheaper than block buster at the time. (this was before it blew up price wise on ebay) and I flipped it for 8$ after playing it and not liking it as a little kid at a record exchange. Oh how stupid I felt 2 or so years later when it went for 200+ on ebay.
We had a family owned store here close when I was a kid... *all* games were $5. Console didn't matter, how old or new didn't matter... all 5. I bought almost every PS1 RPG they had... well, my grandmother did for me I played them all, and managed to get a TON of credit at EB Games eventually... some big hitters were in the stuff.. I wish I kept em though since they're worth a lot more now ._. Ah well. I think I traded in Suikoden 2 at Babbages and got $40 for it...

Saw a Wargreymon Amplified Model Kit pop up for $39 and said was acceptable with just some damage to the box. Was hopeful since at the time new ones were listed for about $75 and on average are like $50-70 on other sites.
Came in and the box looked like someone was in a fist fight with it. Opened it up and everything seemed legit and still sealed. Then noticed one of the packages despite being sealed was missing like half of the parts. And literally the most important parts too, the head piece, and both of the arm joints.
Was moreso curious of how the hell someone managed to do that and seal it back so perfectly. But when I contacted Amazon they just told me to keep it and gave a full refund. A new one ended up popping up for $45 under Prime as a pre-order, so I'm happy
In the future on these, check Hot Topic/Box Lunch, they've been stocking em and constantly run 30% off sales.

I never understood why the Tony Hawk games never appreciated more in value in the Retro games community.
I mean they were good games that arguably still hold up,
They were never rereleased (except for that random HD mashup on 360/ps3 but that wasnt the original game)
They were highly played by gamers in the ps1/n64 time (meaning an excellent nostalgic value)
I was always surprised they can be regularly had for like $5 to this day.
Because EVERYONE had them. They're really frickin common.

Oh yeah. Learned my lesson the hard way with Godzilla PS4. Guess I'm never going to play that game 😭
I regret getting rid of my copy... anyways, if it helps, it isn't that great. I mean, it's fun in the fact that it is Godzilla... but it doesn't play well and the levels are really dull. It's also a grindfest.

Some current Walmart clearance prices for Switch games (from reddit/Brickseek).
Monster Hunter Generations $11
My Friend Pedro $11
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night $11
Dead Cells $9
Battle Chasers: Nightwar $7
Always take Brickseek's inventory claims with a grain of salt. Told me my local Walmart had all of these besides Monster Hunter and all they had in stock was one copy of Battle Chasers. Happy I got something tbh, but was bummed I missed out on the others.
Heh, I got two copies of Pedro at 5 each.

I bought 120 Days of Sodom because I was told it was the most revolting film ever made. It was disgusting. Don't buy it.
It didn't phase me one bit... I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Anyways, I picked up the Karel Zeman set, Multiple Maniacs, Polyester, and Haxan. I have War of the Worlds coming from Amazon since I couldn't find it in-store and Prime made it cheaper than BN shipping even with the few bucks higher price.
