#14256059 XBL Deals - DwG: RDR2:SE, South Park, Division 1/2, more | Quakecon, Metro,...

I think it's just a better overall product, Mass Effect is rough and man that inventory UI.... shudder

I just replayed Mass Effect because I’m doing yet another play through of the series instead of playing new games. This is my biggest issue in a nutshell. If you are like me and hack every crate you find then you wind up with a lot of weapon mods that you will NEVER use and it is super cumbersome to even sell them to vendors let alone if you go the route of reducing them to omnigel.

I shouldn't feed the guy trolling this thread but it's a nice gesture to buy a homeless person shoes. However the fact that you have to bring it up publicly in a look at me type manner means that you didn't do it for the right reasons.

Did you also have someone film it for your YouTube or Facebook so people could praise you for what a good person you are

I'm glad someone said this so I didn't have to. I feel anytime you have to bring up your "good works" to get a pat on the back that you have undermined the act in the first place. Just do good things and move on. It's fine to feel good for doing them; just don't make everyone give you a standing ovation for doing it.

Skip The Godfather part 3; 1 & 2 are complementary and a perfectly contained arc-- 3 is trash. Also, spread your viewing of the Rocky movies out a bit; watching them all together was a little boring as there is a lot of similar story beats. Might as well add Creed and Creed 2, too.

Trying to decide which game I should start next after I finish Metro Exodus (which is great, but I like the Metro Redux duo better): Wolfenstein 2 on GP, AC Origins, Mafia 3, Ori, Watch Dogs 2, small GP indies, or small backlog indies. I try to complete what I start and sometimes face decision paralysis when starting a new big game.

I second the Creed movies. I absolutely love them and honestly like them better than the Rocky movies and I grew up on Rocky.

Also, give Watch Dogs 2 a try. The story is pretty light (think hacker power fantasy Summer popcorn movie type stuff) but the gameplay is so good. And the way Marcus parkours around San Francisco, it almost feels like a modern day Assassin’s Creed.

I'm an old man and I loved Life is Strange.  I will say that the first episode feels like high school drama but after that the stakes go up fast.  I also liked Before the Storm, though it's not as good as the original.  Also, that BtS bonus episode will just rip out your heart and stomp on it if you've played the first game.

I'm so glad that everyone here talked me into going ahead and buying the bonus episode. That episode was an emotional gut punch in all of the right ways. And I completely agree with the comments about the first episode. Just typical high school drama at the start but when it gets going... DAMN.

Maybe I'm just strange (no pun intended), but the dialogue never really bothered me all that much.

I have had many bad run-ins with GameStop in the past. Saying sexist things about my wife/to my wife while I'm standing right there, a female clerk trying to upsell by flirting with me with my wife directly next to me, managers trying to give me partial trade value for things in pristine condition, trying to sell me games with blatantly false information, refusing to take no for an answer when it comes to a membership or pre-order, trying to "gamer shame" me into pre-ordering certain titles, etc.

I used them as a necessary evil in the past because I have had bad luck selling things online so I would just take the hit on trade credit. Now, I'm done with them. The last purchase I made from them is Batman: Arkham Origins since it is the only BC title that I want that isn't available digitally. Everything else in my collection (other than Rock Band 4) is digital and will be here from here on out. I have met a handful of really good GameStop employees over the years but I always feel like I need to take a shower after I go in one now. Just makes me feel slimy.

I'm happy about Resident Evil Revelations being added. That now gives me access to all of the REs available on the Xbox. Now they just to remake Nemesis...

Heads up for anyone that bought the Castlevania: Anniversary Collection, the update that adds the Japanese versions of the game has been released. I know several people were looking forward to that specifically for the music in Castlevania III.

I'm still unclear on how the Telltale episode de-listings are supposed to work on Xbox One. I own the season pass discs for Minecraft: Story Mode Season One and The Walking Dead: The New Frontier and the Back To the Future: The Game disc. I downloaded all of the episodes for each today. Was this a good idea, and should I keep these on my hard drive going forward? Or will they always be available since I own the discs? They don't take up that much space, but I might want to use the space for something else in the future. I've seen so many conflicting responses when I Google search, so if someone can provide a good answer, it will be much appreciated.

The Walking Dead games are safe because Skybound got the rights back and are keeping the games published. Everything else is up in the air as it all goes back to the respective franchise holders. It would be up to Microsoft to republish Minecraft and Universal (I guess?) to republish BTTF. If you want to play them, you need to keep them downloaded but you should be OK with the TWD.

What’s everyone playing this weekend? I need some backlog inspiration.

Playing Guacamelee 2 to get the MS Rewards quest completed. Luckily, it is an awesome game.

Now THAT was a mic drop.

I think Nintendo just won E3.

No might about it. I was all set to get a Scarlett next year. Now, I think I'd rather get a new Switch and a load of those games. No lie. And the Breath of the Wild sequel announcement? Wow.

As much as I like Ubisoft for Assassin's Creed and all... It is a little sad that Microsoft cares more about Splinter Cell than they do apparently...

I'm holding out for a remake of the original Assassin's Creed because I love the game but damn I can't bring myself to replay it because of how clunky it feels compared to every other game in the series.

Maybe I'm easily impressed, but I need the new Watch Dogs in my life. The concept is brilliant

I swear I can’t understand people sometimes. Why just want an expansion going more into Scotland where it will then be the same racing with the same cars and the same kind of circuits? I like the idea of having something over the top and fun like LEGO. I literally had a wide grin on my face during that whole trailer.

As for the person that mentioned the toxicity, I agree. I couldn’t believe some of the people in the chat during the Xbox conference. Bethesda I’m a little more understanding because that was just an awkward conference all together with all of the “PRAISE US!” pauses they had after every sentence. But I love how people malign Xbox for relying so much on Halo and Gears when during the show most of Mixer chat was like “NO ONE CARES ABOUT THIS GAME! SHOW US GEARS/HALO!” It’s sickening a lot of the time. This kind of atmosphere is why I have almost walked away from gaming a couple of times now.
