I'll clarify what I posted in 1 of the other threads.

It appears that Circuit City is cutting back it's advertising in the area in which I work / live. To my knowledge they have been struggling mightily against Best Buy and Target; both of which seem to hurting CC in my area.


What does that mean to me, DVDTalk and CAG?

Well.... I'll tell ya.

It means that if Circuit City is publishing fewer ads, then the day the printed / finished ads are received is probably moving from Thursday to Monday.

Previously when CC was printing the larger amount of ads, their ads would arrive via their own truck much like Target and Best Buy's ads do. As such, I was able to collect, work over and create the Target AND Circuit City threads on Thursday / Friday.

Best Buy always was available to me on Monday.


Now that CC is downsizing their amount of weekly print ads, their ads will be drop shipped to a holding depot at which other companies who do weekly ads ALSO drop ship their ads.


Then a courier will go to this holding depot and pick up CC and any other ads which are supposed to be sent to us. Obviously, this way takes more time than having a single truck loaded with CC ads drop them off to us.

I never post ANY ads until I actually have them in hand and have worked them over.

Under the current scheme, it looks like I'll be posting both BB and CC on Mondays.

All I can say is that I hope CC's fortunes improve in my neck of the woods so that they can increase their print ad totals.

And hopefully you folks will bear with me during this CC transition. (It's something that I have no control over).

I'll still try to get the ads up as quickly as I can.

No way. Just like how they advertise DDR as "with bonus mat", they're just highlighting what's in the package.
