Often overlooked, GoD are by default displayed in dollars both on Xbox.com as well as on the console, but on the very-first confirmation screen of the download process is the option to use Microsoft Points in place of real-world currency.

Through the console, after first selecting to download a GoD you are greeted by a familiar gray confirmation screen that pops up displaying the size of the download as well as confirming the price. At the bottom of this gray pop-up is the instruction to press the "X button" in order to change the payment type to MSP. Pictured below with an arrow:

Its OOP and actually a pretty good virtual adaptation of monopoly with enough customization that you can play it how you want.

Also I don't think there was a large printing to begin with. If you think about it, buying the virtual adaptation for $15 is less expensive than the actual board version. I also like not having to count all the money, not lose pieces, store it etc.

Hmm good points. Plus i have the penultimate version of the board game, The Simpsons Monopoly.

 
So I finally picked up Borderlands 2, two questions for those who have played this game:

1. What are these golden keys that everyone are talking about? I see codes for them all the time. How do you redeem them? And can they stack?

2. Are the other two character DLC's actually worth it?

only a dollar difference to have a preserved digital copy in your download history vs a crappy looking disk copy without the original box art that has to be put in the disk tray to play...just sayin :p

Many people (myself included) will always prefer having a disc to digital. No matter what Table Tennis is worth it. I had the game years ago, IIRC the game is hard as hell though.

Don't know if this has been posted in here yet but for whoever updates the OP these days AC2 is the next free games with gold.

I agree that half life slows down at times, but I loved it. I also originally played it on PC and can't stress enough on how bad it plays on 360. Its not that its unplayable, just the frame rates drop drastically low for 10-15 seconds at time. Still a great game for 360, but pales in comparison to PC.

Also I admit it is partial nostalgia as this game, Far Cry and Doom 3 were great leaps in gaming graphics while still being great games. They were literally the standards on 3d mark for years.

the golden keys are for open a loot chest located in Sanctuary

Golden Keys get you a "rare" (purple) item at random for your character for whatever level you currently are

You can use a bunch of codes that youll find on websites (most prob expired)

It really doesnt matter though as theres a work around where if you unplug your xbox from the internet then remove your memory card at a certain time you can get unlimited golden keys (google it if that floats your boat) so even if you only have say 5 keys, you can really have unlimited.

No clue on the characters though

 
You can also get Golden Key codes pretty much every weekend off their Twitter and Facebook pages.  The codes are different from each so good for 2 keys.

Still considering the 2 extra characters for borderlands 2 and the upgrade pack....Heard some opinions that I will have enough to do with the chars that are already included but what about the upgrade pack? Useful? Or just nice to have? =O

Or, Major Nelson updates them daily in a nice list. XBLDB posts prices once the prices actually change. That was an issue with Defense Grid, since the July 1 deal didn't go into effect until July 2.

 
Did the Bulletstorm price go back up for anyone else? On the Sale section on the xbox it lists the game at $4.99 but went to buy it and it showed $19.99 its also $19.99 on xbox web site for me....Sucks because I just came back with some points cards and I was going to purchase it.

For this price, it's well worth it. It's got some really fun guns in just your basic shooter, but there are some genuinely hilarious lines of dialogue in a game filled with over the top testosterone. You will never hear the word 'DICK' used so many times as in this game.

This line is my personal favorite.

"Well, now, hold your dick for one second, ya fungal rimjob."

That's what Bulletstorm provides.

The Ultimate Vault Hunter pack doesn't become relevant until you've played through the campaign twice and leveled one of the characters to 50... I certainly wouldn't recommend spending money on that until you've at least tried the game and know how much you like it.

It's harder to say with the characters... Mechromancer is my favorite class to play (though I haven't tried Psycho yet), but the characters on the disc are great too. But at least with that DLC you can start using it right from the beginning.

I just checked and it is showing as $19.99 for me as well. I personally wasn't going to get it as I already played it but hopefully it will be fixed as those sales should be all week (or till Friday?)

I'm glad the day 1 games went back to full price, saved me 800 points, was thinking of buying borderlands 2 and being able to get rid of my disc copy.

This thread gets enough traffic that it rarely leaves the first page. It's already pretty easy to find as is.

There's also the "Follow this topic" button located at the top of each thread that can make it easier to track.

Well thanks! I think I will wait then and see how it works out, got all the achievement dlc anyway (except the new one that isn't on sale) So I think I'm good to go =)

ya it is currently, but sometimes it sinks toward the bottom and along the way i get scared and confused....earlier i ended up on play-asia about to buy a HK copy of RE:Relevations...lulz!!!

Sounds like I game I would greatly enjoy, I hope the price drops back down to $5 or else I'll be kicking myself for days.

I'd get a 250, mine is at 90gigs free but i also got another drive that i bought for someone when it was on sale for 35.00 but i think i might end up keeping it for myself. I didnt expect i'd use up the space but it looks like i might.
I went with the offbrand hard drives, didnt pay the extra money for a microsft branded 1.

I agree with this, my 250 was really only like 220 useable space and between this sale and the last sale like this and the free games, I'm gonna fill it up really soon. I also like to have enough space to install whatever disc game I'm currently playing personally.
 
I've got a 250 GB HDD and the thing has been full for months. Every time I download a new game or DLC I have to delete something old. I've considered upgrading to a Slim 360 just because it supports a 320 GB drive!

 
I didn't care for Lego batman 1. Found the level design wasn't very clear on where to go and such. I've heard part 2 is very different, but is it better laid out and more clear with tasks? I wanted to like part one, so I hope one of you tells me something good! Thanks.

I loved BL1, one of my favorite games of this gen, but I held off on BL2 at launch. Picked it up for $10 though. 

Any BL2 vets wanna rank the DLC for me?

 
ive had a 320 gb hard drive full for a while and I just keep deleting older games on demand titles Ive downloaded. Keep all the arcade games and dlc on the harddrive. But its getting ridiculous. Im going to need to invest in some cheap 32 gb flashdrives and start loading some GOD titles on those.

also damn how I wish I didnt sepnd some of those cheap 1200 point cards foolishly. went into this sale with 0 pts after spending my last 400 pts on Doodle Jump Kinect. Also should of waited on the Mass Effect 3 dlc. Just my luck. SO now Im buying these GoD titles with fresh points so full value.....gotta really think about what to buy. Monopoly Streets is tempting me............

That's what happened to us. We both bought something using the $10 codes, then had to go into both our Xbox accounts and remove my credit card information. I was NOT pleased to say the least, just glad I noticed it quickly.

Yeah that happened to me, and it'll happen everytime you buy something on a CC if your live account uses the same email.

I just bought a 32GB drive to augment my 320GB hard drive and am almost ready for another 32GB. I have to install all my discs so I can actually hear my games. Just got the SanDisc Cruzer Fit which fits nicely behind the front USB door. A little slow to write but the read performance is great and passed the Xbox performance test. Pretty cheap too.
