Return and get it replaced. I ordered from amazon a dark souls steelbook. The first one cane with paint chipa since they used bubble mailer. I asked for a replacement and they gave it. Ask the store where you bought it from.

Only problem is with gta5 SE ia that there might not be a replacement available

That's probably the case, got it from GameStop. It's not their fault, R* sent them out like that.

 
Ohh you picked it up from a store. Yeah not sure if that would work.

But if you get them via bubble mailers in the future. Just complain. Steelbooks are supposed to be shipped in a box

The entire package was in a box, which has no damage. The steelbook is even wrapped with plastic. R* just sent it out with paint chips... unfortunately :/

youre gonna keep thinking about that paint chip day and night

Then youll get over it

Then one day you come across the steelbook again while browsing through your collection.

Youll start thinking of buying another copy of the steelbook.

But prices are so high you decide against it.

You look at your ruined steelbook and you dont find it special anymore.

Youre going to want to sell it and use the money to buy a mint copy of that steelbook

I know how you feel... Im going through the same thing right now...

I can live with it.. I'd never sell it. I think a lot of people think they have a de-valued item but if you're like me, you'll never sell it thus the value is $0 regardless. If that made sense..

still the set isn't worth $80. The Last of Us set was 100x more worth it. For that reason, I think the steel book should've been without paint chips. Did yours have any?

Mine had a couple of paint chips too. I thinks it's just the way they are made, type of paint they used. If it makes you feel any and you don't care about the DLC, sell the DLC on eBay then the total price for the SE with chipped Steelbook won't be too bad. Mine is currently selling for $43 for just the SE DLC.

I would also suggest you put the steelbook in one of those blu ray/DVD sleeve or else you'll be chipping the paint more.

Well the steelbook that im currently stressing out over is the Deus Ex G2 steelbook.

Well last month i bought the G1 and G2 version of Deus Ex steelbooks. Im not a steelbook collector, but I had to buy these since i love the game so much.

Both were imported from two different sellers. Both arrived on the same day, in bubble mailers.

And yes they were damaged. Damage to the G1 spine, and paint chipa on the G2 front and back covers.
 
I may just be lucky, but my Special Edition steelbook is basically perfect, with exception to one small little chip. 

Now, the box however...

Amazon shipped it in a bubble mailer and creased the edge of my box :(

 
So is the Dark Souls II Collectors a GS exclusive?? I'll be so mad if it is. Hope Amazon gets it too. Also when will it hit online retailers?? Gonna pre-order Day One

Yall better jump on that XIV CE if you want it. That thing ended up being way rarer than I expected, and it was a pretty awesome CE.

Only thing I hated was the dinky little soundtrack (With only like 6 songs). I ended up buying the full one because this game has such epic music.

 
But the game is online only or something isnt it?

EDIT: screw it, I ordered one. I had $10 from GoW to use and a random $3 promo credit.

WTF is with that DS2 statue?  Out of all the badass armor that game has ever seen, they pick the most generic level 1 armor to put on a statue?  If it really is $120 then I'm passing, which sucks because I'd love to have a nice CE for that game for once.

I dunno I have a feeling warner bros asks them to go "out of stock" so it looks like it's limited, then bring it back later to get more demand and people to buy it

Sold my GTA SE code for $45. Not to be rude or anything, but some people are idiots. I guess this makes up for the paint chips on the steelbook. I wasn't even planning on using the code anyways. The game is so packed with stuff I probably won't see everything the game has to offer anyways, so why anyone would want a few extra clothes & tattoos is beyond me.

I agree. I sold mine for $20 more, which is just baffling. I think I can get enough enjoyment out of the game without those extras. ;)
 
The best dlc were the uncharted 2 codes and zombie codes from blops. UC2 were glitched at BB so they would ring up free with another preorder like R&C, Tekken, Lego rockband, etc. The blops CEs were like $80 at BB (and I think there was a b2g1 sale too) and the zombie codes would sell for $100-$125 each.

Sold mine for $50, but $65 for Vigilante!!! I think it's just because I don't have very high feedback on eBay. Still, a little more than $30 for the Game, Steelbook, and Map isn't bad for Day One purchase
