Please don't waste your time with Superfrog. It's about the most generic and dull platformer I've played in years, with absolutely no original ideas and lackluster level designs. Controls jump between too fast on the ground and too floaty in the air, but everything is so insultingly easy that it doesn't even make a difference for whether you can complete a level. Graphics are simple and unappealing, and the whole thing just feels like a flash game that somehow stumbled onto the store. One could argue that it isn't bad per say, since nothing is broken, but there is nothing fun or entertaining about it to make it worth playing.

Sorry for the rant, it's been nagging at me lately and I knew someone would be asking about it.

While we're on it, don't buy RIPD, God Mode or Game of Thrones either unless you've already read the reviews... I adore Atlus, but some of their western-developed games (most of them) are garbage.

its a remake of an old (early 90s) amiga platformer that Team 17 made. theyre the dudes that make the Worms games, and i guess Superfrog has a following in england. probably if you didnt play it the first time around it isnt going to hook you now.

 
Honestly how hard is it to check the price before you checkout or for people with no funds in their wallet to make sure they delete their respective cc so it wont be charged.

So glad I got soul sacrifice free! Now if only dragons crown would be free and I'd be set. Except now I want Killzone also but since I don't play my vita very often I can just wait for free games with that. :)
 
Last of Us for $20 please. :) even if I just got a ps4 I still want to play that game but $20 is going to be my price point.

Yeah, I did link those two stupid accounts recently as well. Can't access my account at the moment, and been on hold for about 30 minutes now...hate Sony's shitty security!!!

No, I didn't link anything, and I got my PW reset when I checked last night, and then I got that e-mail today. I was trying to figure it out, too. Kinda scary. They need to implement some kind of Steamguard-like feature.

Apparently my CC is still on my PSN, too. How the heck do I get it off of there?

I was about to say the same thing. Set it on the easiest setting and fans should get some enjoyment out of the story.
 
I platted Game of Thrones, never watched the show at all, but damn that was a boring game. 

 I enjoyed the gameplay, i heard it was like mass effect (im so bad, they are in my backlog)

I made the wonkiest characters I could, you get 2 characters, Mors n Alester.

I made alester like a poison assasin and mors was a berserker maniac. something like that. 

i tried to avoid them being generic knights or whatever, and made them so strange to use, but it was fun anyway.

If you do get it, and trying to plat, def follow a guide cuz easy to miss quests etc.

This right here is what is wrong with digital games, digital game "sales", and the perception of digital games. You should be expecting the digital version of games to be cheaper than a physical copy.

It's not even about the price, I just don't want to waste my time on this if it's absolute crap. I already seem to have little tolerance for things a lot of people consider passable. I am a fan of the show, though, so I may give it a spin since the story is supposedly decent.

Unfortunately while Sony has set a great track record of discounting older and PSN games they have also set a precedent that they run sales featuring newer games and discount them $10 while they're available way cheaper elsewhere. It would be great if they and the publishers finally realize that if you take the Steam approach you win and get the all digital future you want. Steam made their deep discounts an event, still made it profitable, then started to dial things to where the sales really aren't like they were a couple years ago but they still sell a ton. In the meantime every major game (aside from EA stuff) is primarily on Steam and most boxed copies still require Steam.

It's just weird to me that it's a proven approach, the economics of the deep discount on a digital product are proven, and these publishers have all seen the results first hand.

The story is excellent, especially if you're a fan of the books (or the show, but to a somewhat lesser extent). I can't imagine playing and enjoying GoT without a knowledge of the mythology, though. The gameplay is very average. But I highly recommend it for any GRRM fans. GRRM had a hand in its creation, and he even makes an appearance in the game.
