deus ex has a complete edition
It does, but it's really more of a "Sorry we fuck ed up the first go round" edition haha. I stand corrected, though, on my point. There just has never been any indication that they would consider a complete Sleeping Dogs based on their track record. Obviously since then they have released a few.

So basically they pulled almost every Marvel game off all the marketplaces. Even the pretty recent Deadpool. It's great they've put them on sale, but as Capcom pointed out their games were going to be delisted, Activision should have said so as well. I get it, it's Activision, not exactly on the consumer's side, but it would actually make sense for them to try to cash in as much as they can since the games are going to die anyway. Let that be at 1$ or 20$, just tell people this is the last chance to buy 'em, and see how many will do that. If I knew for sure, I could have picked up Deadpool, but at this point I'll probably have to find a used copy or something: from which, not a single cent would go to Activision, unlike what would have happened if I bought it at this sale.

Oh well. At least I bought Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions (the whole Internet seems to agree it's the best out of all of them, while the others are hit or miss this one's great) and Wolverine, along with the cheap DLC for it. Along with Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3, I sure got my share of Marvel action for a while (considering I didn't have a single Marvel game on my 360 yet).

I was also a little surprised. but at the same time I don't know why we didn't all see it coming. All the MVC characters being the reason they couldn't come to an agreement, and those characters are spread across a huge list of games. Hopefully they will sort it out, as it's been removed from Steam and PSN as well, and unless they're gonna pull some real unexpected shit, that's KILLING their potential profits, and that shit's Disney now.

All these plus

For me. Not a big haul but I'm satisfied.

I didn't see it coming either. At least Capcom warned us that their content would be gone. It's not all terrible though because we can still get most of the content on disc, whereas the Capcom stuff is gone "forever".

Well, it was an option, but we didn't have details. We knew Capcom had its own deal expiring at the end of the year, so they've put their offering ultra-cheap (UMvC3 was a freaking steal even for me, and I'm not really a fighting game fan) to cash in, and heavily pointed out: guys, this is the end for these games, so act now or act never. While it was suspicious (and some CAGs pointed this out indeed) that the Marvel games by Activision were going on a sale for the second time in a month, we had no info. For all we knew, their deal might have been different, not necessarily expiring at the same date as Capcom's, and had no exact reasons to think they were going to pull these games and bye bye. I'm glad I bought two of the three I cared about, and I can probably find Deadpool used in the same price zone in a matter of months if I really need it. I suppose Disney is being a bit pricey with the licenses if not even Activision thought it was worthy to renew it. Then again, I'm not surprised: the Italian pay-TV Sky (yeah, the same as in UK and Germany) has now made a Star Wars channel (don't forget Disney owns that too now), where for a week they show all the movies of the saga in HD. Now, you can record stuff on the decoder itself (it functions as a DVR too), where you can store everything until forever - but the Star Wars movies expire in, check this out, 48 hours. And I also recorded The Lion King in 3D, only to see it automatically gone in a matter of days. It seems that Disney is starting to ask for shitloads of money for their licenses and products, or else I don't see why suddenly all Disney-owned franchises are getting such a rough treatment. This has basically killed all the past Marvel games, let's hope it won't affect the future titles in a similar fashion. Also, what about Star Wars? Will the pre-Disney SW games get pulled off as well sooner or later?

While I do agree that Activision should have come right out and said, "Hey, we're losing our license for these older Marvel titles", they probably figured more would bite at the current price without knowledge of delisting than if those who would holdout for some sort of last day lowered price. Who knows - Activision handles this sort of thing very poorly (see Ultimate Alliance 2 for a better example). However, the signs were there: how many times did Shattered Dimensions and the rest go on sale this past year? I want to say 3 times, and I know I got many this past April/May. That's a lot and when you couple it with an announced delisting of UMVC3, rumored delisting of Xmen Arcade, and a sale titled "Marvel Last Chance", you can connect the dots and guess they're not safe. Luckily, there are the physical discs.

More troubling is Deadpool. I read something today from one of the artists, I believe, who worked on the game and supposedly the studio was only shooting for a mediocre game with a quick release date. Talks of cuts to time and budgets, clearly willing to sacrifice quality. It makes a lot of sense when you consider they released in June knowing the license is up by January. Terrible fan service, though. That's just how Activision rolls.

Well since everyone is listing what they got during the sale I guess ill do it too.

-Wolf Among Us Ep.1
-Fight Night Champion
-Zuma Revenge

Everything else I either have or I had no interest in. I wish that Beautiful Katamari would have been priced $5 but I kinda regret not getting it for $10.

Sorry for asking myself but I have missed 552 posts since I last logged on. Can anyone quote someone that gave opinions on the sleeping dogs dlc?
You don't need to have read every post to find what someone else has said, sigh.

You seriously can't scroll-up and type "Sleeping Dogs DLC" in the Search [this thread] box at the top of the page...? What do you think anyone else is going to do in order to pluck these gems for you?

Do you have a source for this?

Yeah anytime you load up a game that you already beat or haven't played in a while, the cheev list will automatically update with the DLC included. I haven't played Skyrim in 2 years and I had 48/50 cheevs, yet when I re-downloaded the game last week the list showed 48/75 and I own none of the DLC.

The dashboard shows that Just Cause 2 is 67% off but the actually price is $7.49 (50% off). I'll wait and see if they fix it before I buy it since I have a physical copy.

I could be wrong but doesn't it only add them if you BUY the DLC?
Since both of them are not available on our marketplace there's nothing to add we can't even buy them...so 1000 GS seems to be the full game over here (even if I'd try to download the DLC from another region it would not be compatible with the german version I think beside I read something about regoin locks for this game sooo...1000 GS seems to be the limit over here...no additional DLC...*sigh*

Sorry if this has been answered already. But which of those Lego games are the "critically acclaimed" ones. And if the answer is none of them what do you guys recommend anyway?

I'm currently playing Lego Marvel and have played LotR. Highly recommend both of them, especially if you are a fan of Marvel and/or LotR. However, LotR is at a nice price, while Marvel isn't. Wait for a larger drop on Marvel, and play LotR in the meantime.

Edit: As far as critically acclaimed, the newer the Lego game, the more acclaimed it is. The series has gotten better with age.

They're all good (except Indy2), but you'll get the most enjoyment out of the franchises that you already enjoy the most. I had a slight issue with the LOTR, since they tried something new with that one and used direct dialogue from the movies instead of either no voices (just ho-humming) or new dialogue. It made the cut-scenes feel awkward and it really limited the amount and style of humor.

I'd say the Star Wars Complete Saga is the best (and most content) of the old style (no large open world in between levels), and Marvel is by far the best of the newer style (large open world) and best LEGO game in general. My love of Marvel heavily skews that feeling, though.

Hydrophobia for $2.99: Microsoft's way of telling us that they're resetting their crap meter to maximum for the new year.

Anyone else feel that NBA Jam OFE cheats/has rubberband AI?

I've put a few hours in and find the gold challenges infuriating. I don't expect to be the king of all NBA Jam, but seriously.

I'm on the fence about Lego LOTR. If it was $7.50 or something, definitely. But $12 is only a few bucks cheaper than what you can get the disk for on Amazon.

NBA Jam used to always rubber band, back as far as the original NBA Jam arcade game. It added or subtracted 1% per point you were ahead or behind to your chance to make a shot. You could actually enable a display to see your shot percent chance to make it through one of the entered cheat codes and see for yourself.

When your behind or have the lead by several points, the AI starts getting advantages/disadvantages. It's been like this since the original arcade game. That in of itself isn't the problem with the AI, it's that they read your inputs and react with uncanny precision.

This. Exactly this. Even $10 I'd probably have pulled the trigger by now. But for $12 my cheap ass tendencies are winning over my interest in all things LotR and lego.
