SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge ***FREE AFTER GCU DISCOUNT & @GAMER COUPON

Thanks to YBX87 who mentioned it being on sale in the @Gamer Thread and to check the coupon. Thought this deserved a thread so it could be seen better since the coupons barely came live again.

Meh, I'm just going to order the game for my kid while it's still available in-store locally...  Even at $13, that's not too horrible a price, I think.

Alright, so I checked and it said my subscription expired in April 2014, even though my subscription never lapsed, as I renewed straight into the new GCU last year. Did I get caught in some strange loophole? I thought the new GCU included digital @Gamer til the end, too. So basically GCU members such as myself got screwed out of the last month or two of @Gamer due to when we signed up?

So now I'm having problems checking out... anyone else having the same problem?

edit: tried on IE and worked. Was having problems with Chrome

@gamer was only included until that current subscription expired. I renewed my gcu two months ago yet I'm still getting it due to the fact I renewed under the old membership in September of last year. So it has nothing to do when you renewed it has to do with the date you signed up when the old program was around. To still receive this month coupons you would of had to have renewed during the old program between may 2013 to September of 2013.

The physical coupon works in store and it takes 20% off of the post coupon total. So it ends up being $2.39 before tax in store. The 3DS version came with a Club Nintendo code, but not the Wii U version. Both traded in for $4 base at GameStop. I have already played through it on PS3 and it is a decent enough beat 'em up if you are a fan of the series. However it will take 4 controllers and a LOT of grinding if you are looking to get the 360 version and all of the achievements.

They also frequently sell in the $13 range on ebay. Even after fees that's about $10. Not sure what trade in promos are going on right now at gamestop but I'd rather have $10 cash than $10 at gamestop myself. If you are actually GCU (not just getting a code) you can essentially get two copies of the game for $2.

Question for you though, the 3DS version of the game takes like two and a half hours to beat. How long is the PS3/360 version?

Also known as the "everyone shit on GCU and post textwall rants about not renewing" period of CAG history.

Apparently people couldn't figure out how to use the B2G1 new coupon in the welcome packet to offset the $15 membership fee, aka being a shitty CAG. Seriously, one coupon would've made a profit and secured the magazine coupons for another year, in addition to all the other benefits, for less than the cost of one budget game.

Agree I always renewed mine cause it was the same price as a normal magazine subscription anyway and all it every took was one coupon to make out even or ahead. But I just updated the OP to with the link to check subscription expiration dates so hopefully people don't keep asking the same questions why they didn't receive the coupons.

Actually there was at least a week end of Sept/Beginning of October when you could not renew. My renewal fell in that void. I would have and tried to renew for $15 but was unable to ... then I was given the Feb extention and lost out on the coupons without a choice even though I tried to renew in Sept.

in your email but were you a part of the old program? Or barely signed up. The coupons are only available if you signed up for the old gamers unlocked between may 2013 to September 2013
Yes I've been a member since 2012, since the magazine days. OK thanks I'll check my email. Thanks.

If anyone has an extra one of these coupons that they'd be willing to part with that'd be great. Shoot me a PM, thanks very much.

I checked my email and it is not there. My membership does not expire until 2016.
no gcu and @gamer is two different things just follow the link I posted on the bottom of the op and sign in on that link and it will tell you the expiration of just the @gamer membership which is completely separate from gamer unlocked

Oooh. My subscription expired in March. I don't get that shit though, I thought as long as you're a member you get that magazine too. Im going to have to give them a call.

On a side note, anyone willing to part with their code? O:)

yea they said you would still receive it until the remaining of your old subscription so once the new program started they meant they would not take away the magazine from those already receiving it but once the old subscription expired and the new one took over after the expiration date that the magazine will not carry over since it was part the old program. So they meant they were not going to short change people once the new program started and let there old subscription carry over. But this is the last batch of coupons for everyone anyway. After this month @gamer is canceled completely for everyone.

Picked up the :3ds: version with instore pickup free and grabbed the :360: version for $2.52 with the store coupon. Got $17 (plus 30 CN coins) at Lamestop after bonuses.

This is the bs I talk about. Why diss a store you shop at? If you don't like it, stay the @#%& out. It hurts us more if you don't come than coming to somehow hurt us on your come up!
