Glad you're enjoying your purchase. :p

Feel free to give me more money if you get more than your $10's worth.
Feel free to let me know if you wanna sell any new games that I'm interested in at 75% off (lowest MSRP) or better that you actually have keys for that you just don't want. :p

I certainly think I've made a nice home for Thief 2014.

So as promised I played a bunch of that Spirited Heart game. Even brought proof of my lesbian marriage.

Tickle, Tickle.

As you all may know I am just enough of a weaboo to enjoy that kind of game. If it is still available I will try my best to play it very much.
Hey thanks a lot Motoki. I will enjoy Spirited Heart. At least up until I realize How pitiful I am to be dating computer code.
I finished that game 37 times (once for every possible romantic interest across all three possible protagonists, and once for one of the career endings (those are hard to get)), and I don't think you'd be missing too much if you never got around to it.

It's kinda amusing, but mostly just for how bad it is. You'd have to be a pretty serious raising sim fanatic to get much more out of it, I think.

Don't question me :newbie:

You haven't even been around long enough to learn the Cardinal Rule of CAG: Nobody reads the OP.
What the hell is an OP?

Did you call?
Well, here I am! :D

I'm laughing inside. No, seriously.

So I just got back from Best Buy.

Lucky me, they had a DVI-A -> VGA adapter on sale for $7. I know I could get it cheaper from Monoprice, but the extra money is worth being able to set it up tonight.

Works like a dream, and I just managed to play a game I wasn't even able to boot up with my shitty integrated graphics previously, so I'm declaring this a success.

Big thank you to Foxhack and asheskitty for the help. And obviously to said person who was able to help me get this GPU in the first place.

Excited to be able to play some Sanic Racing with BGCQ next weekend.

Right. Because getting virtual likes from strangers on the internet always legitimizes things. I could post a picture of a turd and someone would 'like' it.

Thanks for being cooperative. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way back to the console threads.

Then you clearly haven't read enough to know that this site is called CHEAPASSgamer for a reason and that every game on Steam isn't on sale at the same time and that unlike you we don't pay $20 for something that looks like an NES game and then think we got a great deal when our cards sell for 60 cents. We wait for that shit to get in a bundle or a real sale, as in 75% off or less.

Glad you think so. Since you told me to go increase the size of my e-peen, I figured you'd like to see that it was already quite large.

One of the things I found out after I bought it was that it's kind of a persistent world. If you don't log in for a few days, when you do log in your survivors will be running low on supplies. That's actually the thing that's stopped me from starting it yet.. I'm still very interested in the game, I just don't like the idea of being married to it right now since I am still spending so much time with Warframe at the moment.

(if anyone can tell me there's a way to turn this off, or a mod then I'd be thrilled & start it up next time I had an hour)
Err, no that's wrong. Your survivors' world won't persist for more than a day... If you leave for 24 hours, when you come back it will be the next "day" (night and day come while you play and don't count towards this "day", only real 24 hour days do) and supplies will be consumed/gained depending on how things are set up, survivors may develop issues, etc (lots of things can happen in this game). If you leave for a week, you'll also come back to the next "day". Come back a year later... you get the point.

If you're coming back to exhausted supplies and issues, that's because you haven't set your outposts up well and whatnot. Don't mean to argue, but it had to be address that if leave for more than a day in State of Decay will NOT progress game time by more than a day, which is really no big deal. The game would be too hardcore and unplayable otherwise.

Also, I thought State of Decay was dull and had wonky combat. Had more fun with Infestation. The party building mechanic was kinda interesting, but I have no plans to ever play it again.
...wat

Infestation isn't the worst game ever, and can be amusing, but State of Decay is a very polished, deep, incredible game (not to mention gunplay is much better). State of Decay is a strategy/management game mixed with open world exploration and scavenging, along with a storyline, voiceovers, all kinds of shit. Infestation is a total mess in comparison.

To each his own... but that is a really odd observation. You should give State of Decay more time.

What happened to this thread being a fun place to discuss games? Everyone seems to just want to complain and argue now; it's exhausting.
Arguing and complaining IS fun for some people, though.

I was thinking more along the lines of:

I thought this was a place to discuss steam cards, playfire rewards, and bing points?

I've been playing the Steam marketplace lately. The micro-transactions suck and you don't earn much back in in-game currency either. It's a really hard game as well, finding good items to flip is pretty tough and takes way too much time plus the persistent world gets annoying. Still it can be fun from time to time, as long as you don't mind grinding for credit (or buying it) and like very challenging games. Think Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale, but actually really hard and with no questing (or debt) oh and lacking the annoying negotiating stuff.

EDIT: Was curious on State of Decay (not going to buy it til it is cheaper or I have more free money) but is it sort of a 3D more action type version of Zafehouse Diaries (or Zafehouse a more pure management version of State of Decay, whichever came first)? The marketing made it sound a bit like that, though it didn't get into much on relations between people.

I think I broke it.
0 card drops remaining
0 games with drops remaining
1 games eligible for booster packs
Worth Approximately $101.94

Following up on how game time progresses in State of Decay, here's some screenshots to show how things work.

Exhibit A:
4YWPi6h.jpg

This is me turning my game on today after not playing in a long time. The summary of what happened during my absence is only what happens in a day of game time. Minor usage and gain of supplies, as you can see.

Exhibit B:

nwnbX3M.jpg

dbk50yP.jpg

Two pictures to show the detailed summary of what happened, as well as the dates. Last I played was March 12th, so it's been over two months. Everything that happened while I was gone is very minor, and the worst that happened was some "mishandling of guns" that lowered morale a bit because I have a few survivors with terrible gun skills.

There are conflicting opinions of how the time progression works if you look online. A few people agreed that one day goes by, then the next day is a half day progression, then extended periods of time would only affect hours of game time, etc. I have no idea where they got this idea (unless that's the way it used to be and has been patched since), because that's completely false. Progression is always ONE day.

Hope that clears everything up.

Thanks guys - I figured it was Enhanced Steam.

I've never looked into the card aspect of things until today.

It seems I have an crapload of eligible titles. Is there anyway to mass drop these because I think idling each one isnt equitable with my time.

1233 card drops remaining
330 games with drops remaining
22 games eligible for booster packs

Sounds like you need to give Infestation more time! winky winky

No, but you can use Steam Achievement Manager, which tricks steam into thinking you're playing a game when you're actually not. It lets you idle without installing or playing anything, and you can have it run in the background.

I probably have 5 hours or so in it. Hell, awhile back I posted a hilarious tale of everything that happened to me when I first played.

I do need to give it another shot since all of the relatively recent updates and additions, but there's only so much lipstick one can put on a pig...

That sounds a lot easier than what I've been doing, skipping installation would save me a lot of time.

I only have 738. I do need to start idling though.
738 seems like so many games to me now, I guess I have work to do.

I'm at a surprise birthday party for a friend and I just keep checking cag every five minutes... because I'm not already anti social enough
I'm sitting at home instead of at a birthday party for one of my best friends at a strip club because I kind of really love this amazing woman who happens to be my best female friend, who happens to be in a relationship, who happens to be playing Sims instead of talking to me.

If you're serious, get out while you still can!

Lol it's like true love zone, which is even worse because you're both afraid of it so you do something crazy together and then avoid each other for a while before coming back. :(

I've been playing Thief [2014] - and so far, I'm liking it.

5 hours in - been doing missions; and also (mostly) exploring, finding things, and robbing people's homes.

Story hasn't really took off much of anywhere yet, though.
That sounds kinda good, maybe I should buy that poop for cheap to occupy me while waiting for Watch Dogs patches.

You have two choices:

A) get out before it's too late, or B) kill her significant other and make a suit out of their skin, allowing you to take their place and live happily ever after.
