Amazon has some great warehouse deals, and most of their used games are in like new condition (condition listed can be acceptable, good, very good, like new, or new). Please post specific deals you find via Warehouse deals in this thread. Check latest posts for the newest deals, or click the link below.

WIKI: It seems people had a few suggestions from the last thread in terms of updating the OP. I've changed a few things, but if there is anything else you want to change, feel free to do so.

F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What states does Amazon charge sales tax?
Items sold by Amazon.com LLC, or its subsidiaries, and shipped to destinations in the following states are subject to tax:

Arizona
California
Connecticut

Florida
Georgia
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky
Massachusetts
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
North Carolina
North Dakota
Pennsylvania
Tennessee
Texas
Virginia
Washington
West Virginia
Wisconsin

Note: No sales tax is charged when purchasing gift cards; however, purchases paid for with gift cards may be subject to tax.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

stop living in the 90's, between spotify, itunes radio, etc, there is really no need to buy new 'trending' music these days and you support the artists also.
Just saying, there's a band I listen to who posted their royalty statement on Facebook a few days ago. For last quarter, they were paid $3.35 by Spotify. They got just over $1/month, not exactly "support" from using Spotify.

Yeah, it's not like CDs/digital are that much different though. Record Companies always keep most of the money, they also give loans for artist to make their videos, promos etc that then they take out of the artist profits.

You have to think of spotify/itunes radio as a way of advertisement for your music where they pay you the more people hear you! And if those people love the song then they can buy said song on whatever format and you double dipped a costumer from 2 different revenues.

The real problem is the fact that record companies/publishers treat new technologies - especially streaming - differently than the average person (and artisist) expects them to. There are often special exemptions in these contracts that allow the publishers to take up to 80% of non-sale revenue. This is one such example - the publishers gouge Spotify for royalties, and then refuse to pass any meaningful percentage of those royalties onward, and then artists get mad at Spotify for not paying enough for royalties. Often times, the publishers will even require the artists to 'pay back' any investment that the company put into creating the product, which can squeeze even more money out of their royalty statements for years.

Me too. I'm hoping to find a 500gb for $30 or less.
OK, I really only need it for the Wii U, so I don't need a 1TB one. Something around $30-50 bucks that would work on the Wii U.
Meh rating wise but near that price range. Not sure about the compatibility to Wii U since I haven't looked into external storage on it.

I have no idea if they would work. I don't know anything about this stuff.

Also, it sucks that Amazon doesn't ship for free to Puerto Rico, even if you buy $35 or more. Shipping kills any chance of me getting one of those ^^^

So I was digging around Nintendo's support site and found this tid bit:

Is there a maximum size for external storage devices used with Wii U?

  • If the Wii U has the most recent system update installed, it will be able to recognize a storage device of any size, but 2TB will be the maximum amount of storage capacity that can be used. Any extra capacity in the storage device beyond the 2TB will not be accessible via the Wii U.

What external USB storage devices can be used with Wii U?

  • What external USB storage devices can be used with Wii U? To ensure maximum performance between your Wii U and an external storage device, we recommend using a hard-disc drive (HDD) with a dedicated power source (i.e., using an A/C adapter). Due to the wide range of external hard drives, usability and performance will vary. For more information on external USB storage devices that can be used with Wii U, click here.
What External USB Storage Devices Can Be Used With Wii U?

Applies to: Wii U Deluxe, Wii U Basic
The Wii U systems offer internal storage for game save data and downloadable software and you can expand the storage memory by connecting an external USB-linked hard disc drive.

We have found that the following external storage devices work with the Wii U system; these device(s) have been subjected to basic performance tests:

  2. 2TB : WDBACW0020HBK

Many of these devices can be found at these online retailers:

We will expand this list as more devices are confirmed to work with Wii U.

  • To optimize performance and ensure a consistent experience, all USB storage devices must be formatted and configured for use with the Wii U console. Once a device has been configured for use with a Wii U console, it cannot be used with another Wii U console, PC, or MAC unless it is reformatted. Please be sure to back up any content before formatting the hard drive for Wii U as this content cannot be recovered.
  • Please note that we do not guarantee the performance of the devices.
  • Specifications of these devices are subject to change, and there is a possibility that these devices may not function properly with the Wii U system due to a specification change
  • Please contact the manufacturer of the USB hard disc drive if there are technical issues or problems with your USB hard disc drive.
Going by what they are saying the WD one should work since it has external power source.

Anyone else who has used the Wii U and external storage have any thoughts or recommendations?

Thanks, ordered that WD HDD for my WiiU.
Let us know how it goes for you. I am curious about the whole external storage affair with Wii U. Don't have any immediate plans for it but that may change with all the digital goodness incoming down the road.

Yeah, I was searching around and found what you posted @DS2U. Basically what it says (I guess), is that if the hard drive uses an ac/adapter it will probably work. I'm going to buy it elsewhere since it isn't worth paying $15 for shipping. Thanks DS2U for the work you do on this thread.

I have 350 GB external attached to my Wii U. It is an older one, I have had for 6 years or so, may be 8, and it works great. Saves everything to it, runs quickly. I had some doubts about it, but decided to use it just because it was an extra one I was not using. Makes me wish the other systems would just use these cheaper external drives.

Yeah almost anything should be fine if it's at leastUSB 2.0 (anything you could find these days) but it's preferable if they have an AC adapter from my understanding. The ones with AC adapters don't usually go into that heavy sleep state that the portables do and you don't have to worry about the system not supplying enough power.

This cost $10 more than the 1TB from the other day.

I believe AMZ does ship for free to Puerto Rico if $ >35; you prob have an item not sold by AMZ or not shipped by AMZ; if it has a shipping price in the item page then it's not eligible for the free shipping. If not get Prime :)

Its difficult for me to drop $90 instantly on prime. Maybe if you could pay monthly (like $8 per Month) I would jump on it.

I have Prime so I can't really test it. Make sure that at checkout the option for free shipping/supersaver/whatever the one that shows 0.00 is selected. Have you tried w/ other items? I remember they had reinstated free shipping again before I had Prime. You can also chat w rep and see what they say. GL

Anyone else notice release date shipping is back for pre-ordered games and that 2 day doesn't count for release date anymore? IE you have to pay $4 more to get release date shipping?

Between that and the tax added to games, seriously going to be hard to renew my prime once it expires. Best Buy GCU seems the way to go.

Wow that's crap. I stopped pre-ordering games from them that I could get from BBY once the new GCU came out though. That and right before it they screwed me on Pokemon Y.

BB has become my place to go for most new release games. (I got SE3 CE for XB on Amazon because they had it for $10 off pre-release, but otherwise BB is the place to go with GCU)

Same. I almost never preorder games from them any more after GCU.
I really don't think I've bought more than a couple games from them since GCU (not counting AWD since that's not quite the same). I'm sure they're doing fine business still but at least for our little community BBY certainly seems to have struck a blow. I know that I'm not the only one that's considering dropping Prime with GCU as a factor with Amazon's mounting nonsense.

Yep Best Buy completely took over as the go to site for new release games on this site. I still cringe when I see people posting that they don't have GCU. Get with the program man. Stop paying $60 a game.

exactly for only $75 combined I'm set until September 2017 on one account and February 2016 on my backup account

Nope, I've already made sure mine wasn't going to auto-renew next time around. If the streaming were anything close to as good as Netflix I'd keep it and just stop paying for Netflix...but that's not the case either. They did recently add that music thing as well, but it's mostly older stuff or junk. And honestly, without Prime I'd probably quit ordering small stuff I don't really need just because it's cheap and I get free shipping...so money saved there as well.

They'd get even more GCU people if you could sign up online - I only just recently signed up because I also wanted to trade a game in during the 50% bonus.

It'd also be good if Amazon split Prime into a bunch of different add-on services instead of one lump sum - I literally only use shipping and my family occasionally uses the kindle lending library, and every other Prime service goes to waste.

Like the people doing the B1G1 and paying $40.

Yeah. Being on the student plan still makes it a bit harder to cancel.

Last time I paid $60 for a game was Catherine. And that happened to be two years ago. Now, I mainly only purchase used, new (price drops) or digitally when it's on sale. Best Buy doesn't seem to be the go-to-guy when it comes to the JRPG/Niche games for this site. At least, that's what I've seen in the JRPG Deals thread. Then you have Target who also seems to be joining in the de-listing game (Like my Sea Green 2DS and cancelling it without telling me). GameStop was the way to go when that happened.

I've also never used Amazon Prime enough to warrant keeping it. What I can find "Free for Prime" on Streaming I could probably find more or less on Netfix. That is, if Netflix hasn't already lost the license to the content. They always happen to be taking shows on and off streaming all the time. New releases on Amazon streaming I end up paying more for anyways. The raise in price and that new "Prime Music" is something I could already find elsewhere. That increase of price ($99) and for renewal also isn't great when I don't use it enough so it actually pays for itself.

No, he's right. Kmart saves you more money because most of the time they don't have the game you want to buy.

100% savings!
I'm not sure what Best Buy you are at but the ones around me look almost as bad as Kmart.

Plus KMart online has the "Buy a $30 3DS game and get $20 in rewards" mistakes.

Well I also have Amazon rewards CC so I don't pay much for most of the games I get, but figured I would go the BB CC and GCU. I'll probably drop Amazon sometime next year if things don't change. By next year I mean not renew my prime, etc.

i'm mostly a pc gamer so whenever I see someone be so happy about getting a game for "only" $48, I think about how for under $50 I've gotten 40+ amazing games in the past few weeks under bundles, steam sales, etc.

still got a GCU, its worth it for the occasional new console game rental.  buy game at launch for $48 (or whatever), play for 2 weeks, trade into gamestop or Best Buy and use the gift card to buy Steam or Nintendo wallet money.  Wait 6-12 months and buy the digital PC version at 90% off for keeps if its a stellar game.  I hate SYWR because it feels like I have to keep an excel spreadsheet of when points are going to expire, I wanna play games not be a part time accountant.

still with hundreds of games and a 3ds/vita/ps3/ps4 my go to game for a while now has been mario kart 8, have more fun with that than even destiny beta

I'm with you. I don't even add money via kindle cards no more. I just a keep enough so where I can buy the awesome kindle deals, but other than that it is dying to me. I still buy things here and there but nothing crazy because the prices aren't that great no more. Hope it turns around though.

Most of us do and will still save well over the $30 or $60 cost that most of us paid.
Yea, definitely. The best thing about GCU is when something goes on sale and it takes off more than it is supposed to. Or crazy price mistakes (the order 1886) for example and then 20% off the price mistake.

Since we're going off topic anyways I have another question: Do the Kmart points really expire in 14 days from the pre-orders? Is there any xbox live currency on their site? Looks like I'd have to go to the local Kmart to redeem points for xbox live cards?
