there is no trading on Origin.....its a VPN...I feel like I've told you about this VPN thing multiple times today
ya .. now if u bring Origin and maybe Uplay into play (instead of only Gamersgate), maybe I can look into investing in a VPN software. If any CAG know which one is good, I am all ears

Was thinking on trying Titanfall, since it's free time and is having 70% discount (and looks fun)... but...  52Gb!!! and I think I'll need to buy the DLC pack too, since I bet everyone is having it. So, I'll pass

Oh cool. Hellgate is on Greenlight.

Edit: Nevermind it's seems it's just a free to play version and not Hellgate: London like I was hoping for.
Man...

I found a sealed copy of Hellgate: London the other day. I remember seeing the game's previews and hearing from lots of folks that the game was incredibly fun, and I was so sad when it shut down. I had no idea it was in a sort of... zombie-like state.

I'd like it to come back but some of the comments there make me think it's much better off dead.

regarding Hellgate; I played the F2P type version a while back.  I did not even finish London and move onto Tokyo.

I cannot recommend greenlighting or even playing it unless they update the game, loosen up the leveling (grinding alot to level up) and tone down the cash transactions

If I remember, Hellgate was not updated since 2009 and it has been "zombie" since 2012

If you want a better experience, buy Diablo 3 and the expansion which can be bought through Best Buy for 19.99 each this week

OR play Torchlight 2 or other diablo type games

Sorry, not trying to trash Hellgate, but it really was a broken product when it first came out and it really did not recover.  Sad

Nobody said that game was fun. It was horrible trash from the beginning. It didn't even last a year.

I went through the exact same reasoning last night. I thought I'd download it overnight, play some today, and probably get my fill, but if it really hooked me think about picking it up.

Not at 52 gb, though.

From what I played of Titanfall on my friend's Xbone, it is pretty shitty. It's all arena-based with a few squad missions. You get horrible Titans to start with and have to play through the scarce story to get better ones, like the Ogre. The best description I can give for it is "Brink with mechs." Only the hardcore few will be playing it in a few years when the servers go offline.

52GB isn't worth it even for free. You can live without playing this mediocre game. COD has more story and better controls.

I'm sad to read that. Some people said it is a fast paced MP, like Quake, and I loved Quake 3 MP because it wast fast... but it had good controls. If Titanfall is a fast paced game but with bad controls, that is a mess.

He played it on a console; every FPS on console has bad controls.

Also, if I recall correctly, the download size itself is not 50 GB, it's more like 20. It just takes up more space after it uncompresses the audio

According to some friends the game has localized voices for a ton of European languages, so the file size is bloated.

Why couldn't they make that download optional?

I'm on the fence with it. It's 21 dollars for the deluxe edition in taco land.

Yeah yeah, I know. Nobody cares or has the energy to deal with it, game sucks, yadda yadda

But one last update on the Biart Depth Hunter 1 / 2 situation.

Someone posted the FAQ on the Depth Hunter Greenlight page before he recently edited the page and deleted it and highlighted the section that said said he would try to get Steam keys for existing owners if Valve allows it, i.e. the usual I'm a clueless indie developer and I have no fucking idea how this whole key thing works and it doesn't occur to me to read the documentation on the Steamworks site or ask someone but if Valve lets me do it I will reply.

Well the result was the KGB censored those threads and there's several on the second page of the forum that got censored too.

titanfall is a fun game, its definitely worth $20.  The download size is only ~20 gigs, but they have 30 gigs of uncompressed audio for some retarded reason - probably something to do with consoles.

The biggest problem is that the PC community is pretty dead with hardly anyone playing.  At primetime you can get some matches fast enough, but during weekdays you can literally sit for an hour and not get matched.  They tried to be too smart and make it automatching, instead of providing a server browser and stuff, and you get auto connected to your closest datacenter - they have east coast, west coast, midwest, europe, etc.  Just makes for a massively fragmented player base, especially when you throw in multiple game modes, and two DLC xpacs.  Games also tend to be woefully unmatched, with one team absolutely crushing the other and thats like 90% of the games.  FPS, stop trying to be so goddamn smart with matchmaking and provide a server browser, that woulda fixed so many problems.

I really enjoyed the game at launch and got my full MSRP worth of playtime (~80 hours), but hardly touch it anymore.  When you get a perfect game with even skilled teams its a thing of beauty, especially in visuals and player movement and titan mechanics, but that is fairly rare unfortunately.
