Because they don't want me trading in the game, which allows someone to get the game without paying them anything and then using extra bandwidth on me just so I can get a couple of bucks to buy games that they've put on sale which = more bandwidth/not the actual money I'd spend otherwise :whistle2:

This is exactly what I did, and yes it works fine. Traded Trials in, kept the season pass (its a one page insert with a PSN code), bought the digital version online for $13.50 today, and then applied the season pass to my account and it added it to TF. $20 season pass for $5-10, not bad a deal.

 
Is Child of Light cross buy? I was considering buying it since its on sale, but not if they force you to double dip for the ps4 and ps3 version. I checked the cross buy section and didn't see it listed there

cross buy and normal buy still confuses me (yes i know a lot of stuff does) I mean if i buy FF 7 i can play it on my PS3, PSP and VITA all at the same time just buying it once. Why wouldnt that be called cross buy as well

 
Child of light is ~30% off, people, the game was originally $15, you save an additional 10% when you use PS+, and no, it's not cross-buy.

I wouldn't call it "spoiled". Accessing your media across different devices is hardly a luxury these days, though I do understand higher costs are involved with porting games. Perhaps a discount would've been nice, especially since it is cross-buy in Europe.

Because that's a PS1 Classic. They'll play on anything that can play PS1 Classics -- a list that'll inevitably grow to include the PS4.

Cross Buy is for platform-specific builds. God of War HD has different assets on PS3 and Vita, different controls, etc. Same for other crossbuy games like PS All Stars and Sly TiT.
 
i dont know if anyone knows this but there hidden gem i found by using webstore today that wasnt listed in any deals pages at all on psn store danganropa for vita is 50 percent off im picking this up now along with 2nd one next tuesday.

They didn't have to make specific ports for each platform, as it's the exact same file that's playable in any of them.

Yeah Sony has got to find a better way of labeling their prices. I've seen at least a half-dozen comments where people have said "oh it's only 10% off I'll wait for a better sale" when games are anywhere from 30%-50% off their normal prices.

and glad they are . I got FF 7 and tried as hard as i could to enjoy it on my vita but games like this just need to be played on the big screen. Glad i still have the chance to play them on my vita though. The saves are not cross system though are they. Meaning say if the FF games had stages. If i played the vita up to stage 10 and then just started on the ps3 , the ps3 download would start at stage 1 right

Transistor is regularly priced $20, and it's on sale for $15, and another 10% on top for plus members making it $13. So you're actually saving 40%, not 10%. But I tend to not get games that are over $10 (unless I've played them before) so I'm in agreement with you anyway, lol.

 
Already have Transistor on PC but will pick up Child of Light and Don't Starve since I just got PS+ haha

Bound by Flames seems fairly terrible... thoughts?

Glad I waited for Strike Suit Zero to be $10.  The game is good, but there's quite a few things that could be added to make it better.

Controls could be tighter

Pitch & Yaw are on both sticks; this is confusing when I'm used to other flight sims like Starhawk or Ace Combat

HUD is a little too minimalist -- I don't know if my laser cannons are grouped or not, don't know where my health meter is, etc.

Beyond that, the graphics are great, and the game plays smoothly.  It's possible that the confusing flight controls will be self-explanitory when I actually get to the strike suit itself.  I've only played the first mission.

That said, the Y-axis is inverted on both analog sticks.  It annoys me when developers don't give you the option to customize the controls more to your liking.  That is, I like to have my left stick inverted and my right stick not-inverted.  I understand it was a PC game ported to a console, but that's no excuse to not let me rebind the keys on the controller, dangit.

Thanks for posting that video cubeenigma.  I think I'd only heard of Velocity, and didn't know Velocity 2x exists.  The platforming sections look like Super Metroid with the Speed Booster permanently left on.  Looking forward to it!

 
Hm. I have the disc of All Star Battle but havent even opened it yet. 

My PS3 isnt hooked up currently.

I am new to PS+, can I still nab the free PS3 games from the browser or PS4?

it looks like I can 'buy' them through the PSN store online on the PC. Is this enough? Next time I load up my PS3 or buy a Vita, then I will still have these games (so long as I stay PS+ yeah)?

Man after having PS+ for a year and half, this is the first time I finally hit a game I bought as a freebie. Granted it was Playstation Allstars for $3, but a streak broken. Also kinda of a lame month to be honest after the last two great months of freebies.

 
Really good month for ps4 and I knew ps all stars would come to ps+ but I bought it a couple of months ago for $10 because I really wanted to play it.
 
September seems like it's missing a big retail game freebie- I know ps all stars was disc released I guess but these games all feel like smaller titles

Velocity 2x looks like fun though.

You can't win me all every month- but aren't we going to be playing destiny anyway all September?
 
Great month of PS+, Velocity looks great, and always wanted to try PS All Stars, and I was close to pulling the trigger several times on TxK.  With Destiny I'm not sure I'll even have time to get to any of them though.. great problem to have!!

I think this is a great month for PS+. I never picked up PS All Stars, so I'm happy to be able to give that a shot now. And I've wanted TxK for a while, so I'm happy that I procrastinated long enough for it to be free.

I already have Sportsfriends (backed it on Kickstarter), but I'm glad other people will have a reason to play it now. And I have Hoard on PC, but having the PS3 version means I might play some local multiplayer.

And getting the other two games free on release is also very nice.

 
Been waiting for a ps+ sale on Child of Light, and I have $10 left in my psn wallet, but I'm not sure if it's quite cheap enough yet. Plus I just started Tales of Graces f.
 
At first glance I felt disappointed in the IGC games for next month (which would have been the first time I felt that way).

But the more I thought about it, the happier I was.  I know I will play Joe Danger on Vita.  Tempest will be fun and I think Hoard might be interesting.

And having already buying All-Stars, this might be a good time to jump back into it.  Almost got the Plat on Vita.

it's 10% off an already discounted sale price. So it's actually more than that. When you look in the store, you see the ps+ 'extra' discount of 10%, but it doesn't clearly show that this week's normal price is lower than normal.

 
Was just about to say if Giana sisters isnt free next month im probably gonna buy it for the full $15

I dont think ive ever complained about ps+ but man next month is weak as hell for me lol. I literally do not want any of that shit

 
Velocity 2X --   Velocity was an amazing game, and this looks twice as good.  Huge win to get this day 1 for free.  I'd have paid $10-15 for this.

sport friends -- supposed to be a fantastic fun coop game that appeals to non-gamers too.   doesn't really do anything for me though as I generally play SP.

TxK  -- this game is absolutely amazing.  i bought it day 1, and i'd buy it again if i had to.   Pure arcade bliss -- one of the best arcade games ever, evolved into the modern age.   Vita exclusive gold.

Joe Danger  --   People love this game, I liked it on ps3 but never got around to buying it.  would have paid $5 or so.  Nice pick up.

Hoard  - -this is a coop  game i actually really enjoy playing when my sis is in town.   it's not the best game ever, but it's a solid little coop strategy game.

PSAB -  not my thing at all, but certainly not as terrible as people make it out to be.

So... getting around $15-20 in value this month (V2x + Joe Danger).    And I would have been getting another $15 or so in value if i didn't already own hoard and TxK.     But just counting  the actual value, this month saved me $20 or so (not counting sale prices of other games over the next 4 weeks) and I only pay dollars per month.  So... great month (for me).

affa, Hoard is indeed quite enjoyable. I even played it solo and had fun.  I may hop back online now and work on a few more of the trophies.

 
I agree that Hoard is a surprisingly really good game. I got it years ago on release and really enjoyed it.

The girl I was trying to get with at the time actually loved it and she would always ask if we could play 'Dragons' haha it was pretty adorable.

I found the game was most fun with people, though playing it solo was still enjoyable.

That looks really cool. Glad to have a game like that to look forward to on the Vita. However, F2P does make me cautious.

 
What's the consensus on Danganronpa? Worth it for $20 if I'm not familiar with the source material but want a game like 999?

Long story short, I loved the game. It's one of my favorites this year. I took a lot of time getting through it and savored it, took me just under 50 hours to get the platinum, has a beyond fantastic soundtrack, it's quirky, it's neat, and it's very much different. It's pretty well revered across the board, and for $20, I say it's more than worth it. Plus, from what I've been seeing, the physical price is holding steady.
