[PC] The Indie Gala Thread

If you're throwing away $0.29, you might as well donate it to me. Why give it to Gala?
I'm throwing away 0.29? No, those pennies you see every day in the street would be throwing it away. I'm asking a legit question I thought was too obvious but now know I was right and just over-thinking. Relax. I know a lot of you are 'cheap', but it's just a question.

And no pennies for you.

Haha. Aww, now I miss The Guild. :(

I'm with ashes, the answer should be obvious.. Group buys are very easy to come by, and you're essentially saving $10+ over time if you buy a lot of bundles. You do technically waste money if you're buying directly from Indie Gala. There's your "legit" answer.

It's not about money saved in the short-term, it's about the long-term.

I'm glad it was obvious. We got it. Move on. Lol. Thanks for your forced, smart-ass, needed-to-apparently-put-me-in-my-place answer.

The 0.29 seemed so insignificant, and as I said me being not only new to the site but to people grouping, and I didn't see it as an actual sought after event among you guys. I stand corrected. I am not worthy. -bows-

Don't ask a question if you don't want an answer. My answer was as legit as you're going to get.

I had already received an answer. Two in fact. Why you needed to add a third is what's got me confused. But you feel validated, and I am wiser because of it. Why the hostility? Is there anything else? Thanks.

If you think that's hostility, you truly must be new here.

Well I said I was so...lol. I'm not new to this site, technically. Just new to posting on the forums really. Only been posting for maybe a couple of months? I don't get you guys though. It was a question. I'm a guy that digs through trashes for codes lol. It was purely a question, not a jab to "cheapness" (however silly some people would take that). This is actually the first "problem" (it isn't even really that) I've had on this site. I'm kind of proud. Like..like a good hazing.

While 29 cents may seem insignificant now, just hang around here and before you know it you'll be refreshing multiple tabs to save a couple cents on a humble bundle.  Once you get that rock bottom price you'll then smile to yourself, knowing that those starving children didn't get their greedy hands on those pennies.  That's when you'll finally understand the true value of saving money on a bunch of games you'll probably never play.

I can give you another reason, if you wish: taxes.
As an Italian-based reseller, IG is forced to apply a fee to its fellow Italian customers (such as me) due to some bullshit law for digital goods, so it makes even more sense for me to take part in group buys as they usually allow me to save around a buck more on top of said .29 cents :)

I'm with CheapSpeed on this one. I think I've only bought one group buy on an IG Monday/Friday bundle before. It's just not worth the extra effort to me to save 29c.

Lol you guys are funny... :)

When I said I didn't get you guys, I meant the whole jumping to conclusions thing like I don't want to save money because I didn't get what was obvious. I skimp and save just as much as you guys. Let me sit at the cool kid's table.

Thanks for more answers though.. :p

So I figure I'd offer to host a group buy for $1.70 a piece (as long as everyone pays up front Paypal gifted) instead of just read about it...I basically just want Five Nights and nothing else from this (are any of the other games good?)

Any interest send me a PM and I'll see how many people I can get together in the next few hours for this.

Anybody have thoughts about whether this may have a happy hour later? I think some Fridays have done that.

If that isn't likely, then Shaq it, I'm in. Don't want to throw away more than $1.70 for a bundle I own half of already.

We are all full up...I'll send out PM's shortly.

So, after buying into the Friday Special, I noticed that a few of the games in the bundle were published by StrategyFirst which most of us know avoid bundles like the plague. Wonder if this means they're going to be more open to bundles in the future.
