:ps4: Foul Play - $2.00 to $100.00 [customspoiler='Fine Print'] :ps4: Foul Play is a part of the PlayStation Heroes program, which means that you can pay your choice among a variety of price points for an item that is usually a theme for entries into a contest to win some prize with most of the money going to a charity. There are no details at the moment for what the prize for buying Foul Play offers, so I'll post that whenever it's announced.

Edit: From the PlayStation Heroes app on PS4, the Foul Play promotion is for a trip to PlayStation Experience in December. Once you purchase the game, you're supposed to go here to register for the actual contest, though you should wait until the page is updated for the PlayStation Experience promotion instead of whatever it's on at the moment.[/customspoiler]

I'm torn between trying the Atelier series or Hyperdimension Neptunia. I'm not hot on item crafting. But Neptunia seems interesting, and good for a laugh.

If I do try Neptunia, I'm gonna pay a little more and get a physical version.
Well the main mechanic from the Atelier series is the crafting... so if you don't like that you'll prolly prefer the NepNep. Atelier also has a really cute story that can be quite funny at times as well.

I'm thinking of picking up a 2nd PS4. Had two questions and figure this is the best thread to ask:

1) Are there any upcoming special editions? It would be nice to have 2 different systems. I think the only one since launch has been the Destiny bundle right? I mean a special edition that actually looks different. I think there was that super limited anniversary edition too

2) can i have all my DLC and PS+ and junk stuff on both of them? I think sony limits you to 2 ps3's or something. Is it the same for Ps4? Or worse, just one?

Sword Art Online Hollow

is the game anything like

Ragnarok Odyssey

Never mind going to keep my 16 bucks and buy that bloodline game for 19.99 tuesday.   Sword should be free soon enough

Dumb question, but why not just buy a PSTV and another PS4 controller? You can stream from your PS4 to the PSTV if the TV that your PS4 is connected to is in use. Not really any of my business, though, if you can afford a separate PS4.

Wow, I really suck at FPSes. I got killed in the first part in Blood Dragon right after you shuriken a dude. I guess I'm supposed to sneak around or something but I keep getting into a melee.

still no word on March psplus?
Nothing official, but there's rumor of Octodad being one of the games.

Edit: https://twitter.com/octodadgame/status/572552246296125442

Though I guess that could also mean it's not April's game of the month since the tweet was posted during March.

I'm on the fence about Sword Art Online. Any fellow CAG care to push me over the edge one way or another?
Eh, it seems like the kind of game where you can just look at videos of it to find out if you like it. I'm sure actually liking SAO is a bonus as well. So, like the gameplay? Like the show? Go get it

Thanks. The gameplay seems solid, but I don't know the first thing about the show. I've been lazy about looking up reviews. Someone on Giant Bomb said they liked it, so I was curious. I read a few reviews and it sounds like the story/characters in the game are nothing to write home about. Guess I'll pass.

sword art online has a decent start but falls completely flat with alot of good stuff happening off screen for most of the first season.  Season 2 is terrible, 3 is gun girls online arc and is basically about one of the villains who the mc fought off screen during s1 that we never ever saw so its basically a retcon flashback arc.  It was ok but not great. freya arc is the next one and was decent. sleeping knights was the following arc and it was depressing.

Basically the series is really divisive. The game itself has engrish translation so take that for what you will.

I can't wait for the complaints about the PS+ lineup being terrible and having to wait for it.
It's amazing how riled people get over a few days wait nowadays. What? It's gonna be announced an hour late? They better throw in a free game and $10 credit to make up for this bullshit.

pstv is limited and he seemed to know what he wanted and pstv is free with a ps4 console cause the sales are bad they need to unload free with consoles.

There should be a slim model down the road i read on forums talking about it but not sure if confirmed info or what not. I want a uncharted 4 new console if they make one! :)

I cannot wait for Helldivers i have been so bored and Order 1866 did not even last me 2 days so i need a fix fast.

Did anyone else buy the Resident Evil Rev 2 Throwback DLC and it wont show up to use there still locked. I am level 79 on one char and 20+ on all the others. I called sony they said no refunds but i never got what i paid for. I bought it to tide me over until wednesday when Helldivers hits so a fix later down the road is a waste for me. I paid off the disc version and had $10 promo added which if i cancel i lose promo so going Disc version for the game but wanted to play the throwback maps to tide me over like i said. I called sony twice they both said no refunds and last one i talked to hung up on me...

im sorry, i have never had any customer service rep just ignore me or hang up on me. its just mind blowing and it really makes me think you are leaving some of the story out. besides the fact, if it ever did happen to me, i would immediately go over their head and get it taken care of.

So the March freebies haven't been announced yet,eh? Maybe Sony is giving those people with slower internet time to download Thief; at 24 GB, that would take my old internet at least a week to download.

If after all of this waiting we get a free Rockstar game, I'm going to laugh so hard.

You can have my free plus games lol

A leaked image showed Octodad and Lego Marvel for PS4 for Europe.  Not sure if it will happen or if it will be the same for North America, but hopefully we'll know today.

I would be pissed if Lego Marvel is released for PS+, I just hate when they put games on sale only to release them free few months later.

Still no PS+ announcement yet...

I'm in the same boat for this and Octodad, however, I think a few months later is somewhat fair, so I don't blame them too much. It does reinforce my desire to avoid digital purchases in general since it's just more freebies i'm missing out on. I could at least trade in a disc version if I had purchased that instead and there are so many other options in my backlog that it's dumb for me to be buying stuff anyway. Overall, it's hard to complain about the program since there are enough options every month that very few people would not get a decent value out of it.

Yeah, but in the past couple of months a lot of PS4 game have been on sale. There's a good chance whatever the PS4 games are they were on sale not too long ago.

At the last minute I decided to get Sword Art Online and Atelier Rorona Plus. I'm a fan of SAO, so it was a must buy at that price. I already have the original Rorona in the backlog but wanted to try the new one since it has a better design and all the extras.

Konami has a countdown on their site, something MGSV related is happening in under 24 hours. So if I had to throw out a random guess I'd say Ground Zeroes is going to be a part of the IGC to coincide with whatever news Konami has.

They're gonna announce the cancellation of MGS V.

Yakuza 4 is the one that's 24 GB. Thief is 6.7 GB.

As much as I like Ground Zeroes, I hope it's not the free game since I already have it. Would prefer a launch title like Killzone since it's pretty old at this point.

Heart Forth, Alicia is coming to PS4/Vita early next year after a successful KickStarter campaign last year.
Sprite work looks phenomenal. I'll eventually burn out on all these retro titles but it will take a while.

I already own MGS V Ground Zeroes, but my brother has it and I am off at college right now. I wouldn't mind playing it again though and the digital copy would be nice.

Rather have my original prediction though.

Back in my day, we had to send in an order form with either a money order or check, wait 4-6 weeks for processing, then they'll send you a PSN code in the mail.

But seriously, I had to order DooM on floppies this way.

Amplitude has a new trailer out now along with info on team multiplayer. It'll be at PAX East and as a part of the Omegathon.
Hey cool, two games I kickstarted.

Thanks for clarifying. My hard drive was nearly full and I didn't have enough space for either game.

Would be nice if Lego Marvel was free on PS3. What is considered the worst Lego game? I personally didn't like Lego Harry Potter. Using a wand for combat seemed ridiculous to me.

knowing Konami, I'd say the countdown timer could be for the announcement of the Phantom Pain release date.  OR for a new trailer.  Or it could be a countdown for when they start the countdown for the release date.  Or maybe they are going to do a surprise release of the Phantom Pain tomorrow AND it will be free with PS+.  It's Konami, who knows.

Interesting, I enjoyed Harry Potter 1-4 quite a bit. Indiana Jones was the worst for me by far. Repetitious enemy clown-cars, unclear objectives, and the nonstop loop of the theme song. Very annoying.

When I was a kid I played PBM games. You'd mail in your turn, wait a week or two depending on the game, and then get your turn results back in the mail. Some were low tech (like, a guy writing down what happened, some were high tech -- you put in 'codes' for what you wanted, and the guy would type that in and run it through the game he'd coded. Many were multiplayer. Many were surprisingly complex, empire 4x style games, conquest vs. other players games, gladiator combat games (my favorite).

I also had an intellivision and a computer, but I loved good PBM games because when you're a kid getting a fat envelope in the mail full of gaming goodness is like winning the lottery. The wait was part of the charm -- building up anticipation. I burnt all the money I earned on stuff like that.

People would lose their minds nowadays with something like that.

I remember USENET/email versions of those turn based 4X games. Physically mailing every move would have been too cost prohibitive to me, IMO.

Edit: I also remember this "game" around '99 where you just make a creature, either herbivore or carnivore, choose from a list of predefined features, and let them run around in a simulated world with tons of other creatures. Then you can check how they're doing, if they reproduced or died. I had an herbivore that was alive like 3 months after creation, but then I forgot about it and forgot it's name.

That makes me feel like a wuss especially when I b**** about my slow internet connection.

Tempted to grab Rorona and Meruru, but I haven't touched Totori yet (bought in earlier sale) and my Vita is way out of free space. Maybe if Sony would sell larger memory cheaper or stop using proprietary format, I would have enough room to buy their digital content >_>

Fans of SAO should definitely pick up Hollow Fragment. I bought at full price with no complaints.
