I've seen that with some stores here in Canada as well. EB Games and Futureshop (RIP) worked right away, most of Walmart worked right away but Best Buy and some gas station (like Shell or Petro Canada) need 24 hours before they are activated.

I finished it for the X1 and decided to try it on the 360. I stopped after I got the 3rd car and don't think I'll continue, not as fun as the X1 version.

If you get XBL/PSN currency cards for store pick-up, make sure they are activated when you get them. I've had trouble with that in the past.

When you put in for a change of address at your local branch, you can request the USPS mover's coupon book thingy. Lots of useless coupons for use in your new zip code, etc. But one of the coupons, though, is pretty cool - 10% off any single Best Buy item.

You can actually get the coupon online at USPS, too, but you have to pay an identification fee of something like $1.05.

can you get in trouble for using too many of them on the same account? I used one when I got my xbone last sep. and just went to the post office to mail a package and grabbed two packets :D

also saw there's a 10% off a lowe's purchase, not gaming related but could be useful for some stuff around the house/projects but yea the rest are useless unless you are actually moving lol

Child Of Light is really good. On Chapter 3 and I'm loving it so far. Not usually a big fan of turn-based RPGs but this and South Park really broke the mold for me. Maybe because they aren't very complex and the learning curve is very short.

I totally agree. Those were two of my favorite games last gen and I really don't like turn based RPGs. I think you're completely right about the simplicity thing. I wanted so badly to like final fantasy 13 because it looked amazing, but I just couldn't get into it.
 
So do I wait for an Xbox One remaster of the Gears trilogy, buy them now on the 360, or wait for a deeper sale on the 360 versions of the games?

Didn't Black Tusk announce like two weeks ago that there's no Gears of War remaster announcement incoming anytime soon? Plus I can't imagine why they'd do all three (or even four) back to back to back being as they're trying get a new Gears trilogy (or however many they plan) off the ground now. Maybe later in the XBox One life cycle I see it possibly happening, but I doubt within the next few years they'll rerelease them.

Plus they're balls cheap at Gamestop now.

yea unfortunately I don't think a gear collection will be coming soon. There is really no news on the the new gears of war black tusk is doing (that will most likely be at E3) but I'm pretty sure it will not follow marcus feenix and the regular crew (maybe cameos) but possibly if they ever do bring back Marcus they will do a gears of war remastered trilogy. Not too mention they have to give time for everyone to forget about the Halo Collection fiasco lol

Yeah agreed. It's an MS exclusive and the franchise is still going. We'll get a remaster. I'd put money on this Christmas. 1 year is enough time for people to forget about Halo MCC. Hell I've forgotten about it already and I preordered the thing... digitally.

Right - Microsoft owns Gears wholly just as they own Halo. It figures that Phil would follow the same Remaster thought process. I think Christmas is a safe bet.

On a completely unrelated matter, I'm still hoping for a semi-credible E3 leak that says XB1 / PS4 / PC will be getting a Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered edition this Holiday. (native 1080p!! 60fps!! updated lighting!! all DLC!!)

Alright, so I called up CS and had the lady look up the $45 + $5 pack by SKU number and she said the sale ends Saturday, the 11th.

This is Best Buy CS, so you know, take with a grain of salt, but I'll swing by my local USPS tomorrow in that case.

if it's not on sale tomorrow, at least I'll have the coupon to use to get it for the same price, so no harm done.

If anyone else wants to call up and ask and see if they get the same answer, that'd probably help.

I'm actually really surprised there was no Skyrim remaster in 2014. It just seemed like an obvious choice, being as popular as it is and with no new Elder Scrolls (single-player) game on the horizon. I bet a lot of people would have rebought-- I know I would have. But I don't think they'd do it now and steal Elder Scrolls Online's thunder.

An eventual Mass Effect remastered collection seems like another no-brainer, and 2015 would be the perfect time for it to tee up Mass Effect 4 in 2016.

 
Completed Tomb Raider, really enjoyed it.  Haven't played any of the earlier games, so I don't know how true it was to those games.  Sucked finding out there's a missable achievement in the campaign that requires replaying a large part of it from the beginning.

I haven't played pvz yet but stick of truth is one of my favorite games. If you're a south park fan you can't go wrong. I laughed out loud many times and woke up the baby as a result.

Are you going to renew after the 3 months? PvZ is really meant to be played over Xbox Live, so if you arent planning on keeping your subscription it may not be worth it to you. As for the game its very fun, and well done. Plus they have a ton of free updates they have put out for it

Stick of Truth is also very good, especially if you are a fan of South Park. Pretty basic rpg elements, but they are basically only there to keep things interactive while keeping the story and humor moving forward

 
Go with Stick of Truth. Why would you want more PvZ? It was good the first time around, but everyone has played it to death. More of it is definitely passable.

Garden Warfare is a class based third person shooter with both versus and coop via a horde mode. Not the tower defense game liek PvZ and PvZ 2

PvZ if you have friends/family to play with. Otherwise go with Stick of Truth, especially if you are a South Park fan. The game is loaded with stuff from the show.

I was doing some trials in Killer Instinct for achievements and some weird stuff started happening to the characters when starting matches from the trials screen.

You keep referring to history repeating itself, but history has already NOT repeated itself...the original Xbox was a distant, distant second place and Microsoft wanted to move on from it as quickly as possible. The 360 was a huge success. The two situations are completely different.

Feel free to meet me back here in 2 years, when you're still able to download your past purchases freely. Square shutting down Final Fantasy online in another year means absolutely nothing to the overall XBL on 360. Zero.

Not going to argue about this nonsense anymore. Believe what you want. There are still years and years to go of 360 online. Features may dry up as years goes on, but the core elements - online play and marketplace - will be around for a long time.

I hope you're right as I am personally banking on this. When the XB1 launched, I set a goal of Black Friday 2015 to finally get one. Since then, I had a baby, bought a house, testing for a new rank in the AF, going to school in the summer and just moved from Las Vegas to San Antonio. Combine that with the fact that I'm a huge sports fan and that comes before gaming to me. I now set a goal of Black Friday 2017 for my XB1.

Got around 80 games to go on 360 still and I absolutely will not budge until each of those games is completed. If they cut support though...well, that'll be a whole different story. Let's hope you're right Kane.

I was wondering where I got those 1000 Rewards points from xbox rewards..then I remembered I actually played Gears of War Judgment a lot (on disc though) I think this is the first time I ever played a GwG title long enough to get this reward, since they introduced it. Even though accumulating 10 hours in GwG titles shouldn't be hard hum., but I was always too lazy to make space on my hdd and actually play the free title in time lol.

Probably will wait then to finish the MP Stuff in Black Flag, when the game is actually part of the GwG, since that might take me some more hours..

Also nice to know that it counts when you play the disc versions of said games..
