[ShinyLoot] 101 Days of Summer Daily Deals

shinyloot

Official Representative
Today our 101 Days of Summer Daily Deals has begun. For those interested in the mechanics of the sale:

  • Every day at midnight (CST) we will launch a new round of deals, up to 6 on Mon - Thu and up to 12 on Fri - Sun.
  • Prices will all be at, around, or below previous lows
  • This sale will run until September 7
  • Participating games will sometimes be repeated and sometimes not
I'll try to post updates here on which games are on sale, but I know I won't make it every day. With 24 hours to act it might be too late by the time you see it anyway, so I would suggest keeping an eye on the deal page.

Day 91. Uh, apparently Jonathan Winters died last year. So now we have zombies. On an island.

Jelly All-Stars - $1.50
War of the Human Tanks - $2.00 (steam / desura)
War of the Human Tanks Deluxe - $2.40
Data Hacker Corruption - $3.00
Brink of Consciousness: Lonely Hearts Murders - $4.00

I like how the farther we go in the sale, less and less is on sale. I think they're learning that the more something is dragged out the less interesting it becomes.

Day 92. Turns out that zombies make an excellent monkey distraction. Finally everything is coming up indef!

Rhythm Destruction - $1.25 (steam/desura)
Dungeon Shooter 2 - $2.00
Subject 9 - $2.00 (steam)
The Few - $2.00 (steam/desura)
Dead Hungry Diner $2.50
Beware Planet Earth - $3.00 (desura)
Host Holic - $3.00
Cities in Motion 2 - $5.00 (steam)
Farm for your Life - $2.50 (steam)
Mosby's Confederacy - $2.50 (steam)
Mystery Masters Adventure Bundle - $9.99

AmazonJosh goes awol, Casey leaves blink, shinyloot hasn't logged in in over a month and Ebola is running rampant over West Africa.

Coincidence?

Maybe it's the nude selfies you keep sending him.

Try messaging him on Steam. He said something a little while back about an overzealous spam filter or some such.
thanks, do you know who I need to add on Steam as a contact?

Well if he doesn't add you because he doesn't know who the hell you are just catch him in one of the community forums for the various Viva Media games.
He added me pretty quickly, already working on my Steam key for The Rockin' Dead. I'll let ya'll know how it goes.

If you manage to get that then let me know because I didn't think he was giving keys out for it since it's not being sold on Steam but heck if he is I will grab one too. :p

Day 94.  Okay, so the zombie monkeys are pretty dumb and tend to kill themselves before they can harm me...or anything else.  Looks like they can't swim either, so there goes my awesome zombie raft idea.

On a Roll 3D - $0.90 (desura)

Ostrich Island - $1.00 (desura)

The Lady - $0.99

Spectraball Extended Edition - $1.25 (steam / desura)

Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta Ep 1 - $1.25 (steam)

Dark Scavenger - $1.25 (steam / desura)

SoulCaster 1&2 - $1.50

Really Big Sky - $1.50 (steam)

One Finger Death Punch - $2.00 (steam / desura)

Grotesque Tactics - $2.00 (steam / desura)

Stellar Impact - $2.50 (steam)

If you manage to get that then let me know because I didn't think he was giving keys out for it since it's not being sold on Steam but heck if he is I will grab one too. :p
ok, he said I'll have to wait until Tuesday because of Labor Day which ironically no one seems to work on.

Day 96.  Attempting a raft compromise by strapping drowned zombie corpses to the previously mentioned turtles.  It's not very pleasant smelling, but I think that stench is keeping the turtles comparatively docile and easy to steer.  I can almost taste the freedom!

Defenders of the Last Colony - $1.00

Chronicles of a Dark Lord Ep. 1 - $1.00

Gun Metal - $1.50

SpaceChem - $2.00 (steam)

Royal Defense - $2.50

3 Stars of Destiny - $3.00 (steam)

Day 97. Turtles started eating the zombie monkey corpses, so yeah, zombie turtle raft. fuck this, I'll just swim the rest of the way.

Paper Ball - $0.75
Plith - $1.00
Dwarf Quest - $1.00 (desura)
Power-Up - $0.99
Crayon Chronicles - $1.19
Hero of the Kingdom - $1.75 (steam)
Drip Drip - $2.00 (desura)

More of a PSA for nitrosmob than anything else - Millennium 3 Steam Keys were added to Indie Royale's Debut 8 bundle if you bought it.

Day 98.  So, uh...anybody know which way I should be going?

Sword of the Stars: The Pit Pilgrim DLC - $0.50 (steam)

Sword of the Stars: The Pit Gold edition - $2.60 (steam)

Greed Black Border - $1.25 (steam / desura)

Realms of the Haunting - $1.80

City Sandbox - $2.50

99 Spirits - $3.75 (steam)

99 Spirits Deluxe - $5.00 (steam)

Oddly, I'm really sad this is winding down. I'll miss Indef's daily adventures with my morning coffee.

Oh and Nitrosmob no you don't need Millennium 5, wait for a bundle and Steam release. You haven't played the first four yet. :p

*Edit: Apparently, they decided to be anticlimactic and sent out the last 3 days worth of deals in one email today.

Although I'm tempted by Rogue's Tale....it's been bundled 3 times before and ShinyLoot actually had it for only a dolla at one point so...congrats ShinyLoot, I have not bought anything the past 99 days from you!

Not even Nancy the Amused Streetwalker and the Untrustworthy Gas Station?

I hope Shinyloot realized that just having sales for so long loses it's luster. Heck you can only be tempted by the same game 4 or 5 times haha. Millennium 4 and 5.....I needs you on Steam.....bundles come to me now!!!!

So...it turns out that I can't swim.

Thanks to everyone who tuned in for this bizarre experiment, and thanks to ShinyLoot for trying something different.  Let us never speak of it again.

Since On a Roll 3D has been on sale a number of times at Shiny Loot, on the very odd chance that anyone else reading this but me bought it there, there are Steam keys for it now on Shiny Loot.

So Shiny Loot. Remember them? No? Well fine Indef's Monkey Island adventures were all for naught.

Anyhow they've been quiet because they've been hard at work on a super sekrit project. A Let's Play Search Engine. Betcha always said 'Hey I wish someone would make a site that I could enter the name of a game in and just get some random Let's Play video from someone I've never heard of to pop up and play'.

Well now you can!

June 4, 2015

Over the past several months, you may have noticed a few less emails. You also may (or may not) have wondered what was going on with ShinyLoot. As a small team, we often make tough choices about how to spend our time. Lately that time has been spent developing VidXplore.

A year ago we launched VidXplore as a video based tool to discover games on ShinyLoot. We've dramatically improved upon that core concept to create a sort of 'Pandora' for games. We've separated out VidXplore and added over 9,000 games for PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Wii, with more platforms on the way. We've also considerably increased the number of traits fueling the back-end of our game discovery tool to over 350. Finally, game trailers have been swapped for gameplay videos via YouTube from famous personalities and rising stars. VidXplore is now a tool not just for finding new games, but finding new YouTube channels as well.

The new version of VidXplore is now in beta. You may see a few oddities both in traits and videos, and we'll be cleaning these up throughout the beta process with your feedback and reports.

Enjoy, and let us know what you think!
