There's new change to warp which let's you warp 10 levels instead of one in certain conditions and bots were modified to use that.

Guess the point where update to bots happens.

Oh man... that sucks. I had the beta and it was interesting. For me, it was a little far from finished to take a chance, but I had every intention of taking a second look once they made some progress. I guess lots of people felt the same way.

I never really thought it would go belly-up though because Hidden Path is a well-established and respected publisher. I'd be interested in trading for one too if someone has a bonus copy.
You know, I initially had the hoarder instinct kick in, but even completed it would likely be a pretty run of them mill sandbox survival crap thing so I definitely don't need a half unfinished one sitting in my library. This is what EA allows devs to do. Instead of investing into a game, releasing it, and folding when it fails miserably. They release it, have us invest in it, and pull out when it is convenient for them. I'm sure some people would say they'd rather have a solvent HP to keep doing the DG series, but I personally would prefer bankruptcy and a completed game I didn't want.

I thought I was in a good group at around level 13,500. The top group has over 160k levels now.

I think they might have to make some new badges after 300k.
I jumped in Coral's group today because he usually picks a kickass group and his group sucked and he abandoned it. fuck you Coral! Ashes is in a kick ass group today.

Windbourne was by the Defense Grid developers.  Doesn't surprise me they ran out of cash since they barely got enough for a simple tower defense game (DG2) let alone sustain a fairly ambitious project like Windbourne.  It... looked pretty.  That's all I know about it.  Had it wishlisted for a bit but, again, I'm done paying for EA games unless a substantial discount is offered.

The market is glutted with these free roam survival/builder games.  Most of which never see  completion.  I have no idea why some of them sell so well (like that crappy looking ARK).  Of course, I know why there are so many: it's easy to develop and get a 'working' prototype up.  Slap EA on it and you have zero pressure to update it and zero liability if you don't finish.  Just reap free cash from your weekend hobby project.

I gave up on day 2 after I found out the game had no benefits.

So thanks to Fox merely mentioning it I am now eating some "Shrimp flavored" Top Ramen.

My gf was like: "What are you doing?  I'm going to make Chicken Chimichangas in an hour?!?!"

I told her I'd eat those too.

On topic:  Finished Crysis 3 today, it was alright.

Started Korra.. not sure how I feel about it.  It hasn't grabbed me 3 levels in.

I used to buy the Sapporo Ichiban ramen brand, it was pretty good, but a few years ago the prices of each packet tripled, at least locally. I used to be able to buy two packs for a dollar, now each one is $1.50 or more.

Nowadays I buy the Nongshim brand. These are pretty good:

Both taste completely different from the Mexican-style hot foods I'm used to.

While I did like NFS: Shift, that's more for those who are trying to try something less arcadey than NFS, but want something a bit more sim-like - even though it is not entirely a sim type of racing game. It is in first-person always in the cockpit, so that's different for a racer (especially NFS) and kind of cool.
I liked Shift, as you said it's less arcadey then most NFS. It, imo, is a good option for people who want more realistic experience but without quite the....pain in the ass-ness of actual realistic racing. I guess it's kind of in DiRT territory (the first one) in terms of realism/arcade, best racing game example I can think of. Oh, crash physics were fun too.

Cut it out, but agree that for more traditional NFS, Hot Pursuit 2010 is really great, The first HP (NFS 3: HP) is still my favorite but 2010 is still really good.

Payday 2 is fun with friends.
FTFY

Huh, thanks for posting this. Made my decision a lot easier. I'll wait for 75% off the super-ultimate-complete-final pack then.
You'll be waiting a long time then. The devs have said they will continue shitting out DLC thru 2016.

Really though, if you have 4-6 people who you can play with occasionally, it can be a lot of fun. Some of the levels can still be solo'd. Once you understand the meta-game, it becomes very easy to power level and take on the brutal heists at brutal difficulties.

I'm not a fan of the Nissin ramen types, the flavoring packet always tastes like the same slimy oil to me. Maruchan variety is pretty good, though. I sometimes cook a package as a snack, although I have been avoiding it recently because the TBHQ coating gives me a stomachache every now and then. I also liked the Sapporo Ichiban type, but yeah, the packages are $1.49 here, which defeats the purpose. It's too bad that organic meals can't be as cheap as ramen.

Late to the party, but I finally picked up Borderlands TPS for cheap and started playing it. There's not so much of a jump from BL2 to this as there is BL1 to BL2, and so far I'm a little disappointed in that it feels like I'm playing BL2 DLC only starting over from a weak LV1 character. Dialogue is funny as ever, but that's about it.

And I save-hack cheated Clicker Heroes and beat it. Hope that makes you Clicker Heroes nerds angry. :D

Thanks, I got number 2 or 3, not sure which one went through.

I plunked my $2.50 into Terraria, and I had to lower the resolution to see anything. Really not pick up and play like other simulations but interesting.

If I ever eat instant Ramen I usually pick this brand:

But other times I buy lots of pasta on sale, and make a little chicken soup out of it. Cuts down on my sodium intake and cheaper too.

I don't know if it's changed since I bought it years ago but Terraria benefits from reading a tutorial or walk through for the first basics (building a hut, how to place objects, etc). Pretty easy to figure the rest out once you know the basics but not especially intuitive the first time you load it up.

Those bowls are the best ones I've had yet, but they are pricey. $1 on sale is the cheapest I can find them. I also recently found out that Nongshim makes brick style ramen packs too when they were sampling them at H-Mart. I've been staying away from ramen lately though because of the sodium, though I ate them a ton growing up. Found a good recipe where you ditch the seasoning packet and boil it in low sodium chicken broth, add in veggies and kimchi and it was pretty good.

Yes Steam, when I log in from a new browser or device on the same ip I have been logging in on for the past 6 fuck ing months I clearly should be locked out of the market for my own security. Go fuck yourself Valve.

FWIW, you're only temporarily locked out on that browser so if you go back and use the one you were using before or even just the client it should still let you use the market.

Have we all really bought so many games that we're reduced to ramen?

Havent found anything worthy of blowing my gabenbucks on so i have been buying a couple things from my friends wishlists under 5 bucks.

Psychonauts - 4DE06-8A9J4-AR6ZI

Company of Heroes - BBAYA-E67Q3-8MWAH

Medieval II: Total War - YNJXE-W5CYB-73LZB

Cities in Motion 2 - B4QG4-609C7-N7PQD

crafted my badge, never playing that game again. don't care about the gaben bux i'll be missing out on.

for a split second i thought about fakeybro'ing Elite and backlogging it. then i regained my lucidity

Never eaten Ramen.  Vile crap.  I would just make red beans and rice and eat it all week.  Cost maybe $5 for a week's worth.

Flash sales look pretty good today, the best set so far imo.  Definitely going to get Spelunky and System Shock 2, still debating on Doorkickers and Icewind Dale.  Will probably cave on all 4.

With all this ramen going around half this thread will have high blood pressure and/or kidney stones later on.

Has BG II:EE been cheaper before?
Yes, i think it was once 6.25. It's MSRP was 25 bucks on release and I think Gamersgate of all places had it at 75% off about a month after release, which is when i got it. If this was 75% off id be all over icewind dale ee but it'll get there soon enough.

I am holding out for the collection of BG1/2, IWD 1/2, and Planescape EE to hit $20.

The E3 PC gaming show stream starts in about half an hour.  I'd imagine it'll be full of a bunch of repeats of games announced elsewhere, but I think I'll tune in just in case.
